Tuesday

I had one of the strangest dreams this morning, where I had one year to live, and I was perfectly at peace with that. I was actually talking to one of my oldest friends - and she was more upset by the news than I was. Somehow, I was following my mippies ...

I woke up still feeling perfectly at peace ... until yesterday's new Rocking Chair activity came back to mind! Sigh ...

As I was up early, I left early. Mippies are bouncing around and don't want me to slow them down by cuddling, so I feel kind of left out. I folded the laundry, so the bathroom is clear again and then there was nothing for me to do but go to work.

Tomorrow I'll be going to our client in Jo'burg again, sigh. That always fills a whole day leaving little room for actual work. But, it's part of the job.

Sigh, bit of a situation, which set me back somewhat. I asked for a five minute feedback session regarding a production problem and found myself in a one hour brainstorming session, where my department was being re-arranged - as if that will solve the problem! Sigh. I had a one-on-one with the instigator and cleared the air - I just hope this won't happen again!

Still, I ended up spending time on preventative management rather than making progress. Or should that be a management preventative?

Back at home, open the passage door ... zoom, zoom ... zoom! Mewly, Ziva ... Janey! Out the front door at top speed! A minute later, Mew is back - mewling! I must come outside, he missed me all day, now he wants me where he can see me!

When it was time to come inside - they chose the time, not me - I gave them a tin of tuna. They devoured it completely! I had to add a measure of Whiskas afterwards, and - once again - Mew & Janey pushed poor Ziva away, so I filled her bowl with Whiskas as well. I added some tins to my shopping list. These small tins, the three of them can finish in one meal - but the larger, Petley ones, they don't. And they don't eat it the second day ... although ... maybe that's changed now, as well? They also never used to eat the meat in from the sachets, which they do now. Maybe I should give it another try ...

I just had such a laugh! I opened the tap again for mini's to drink and Mewthos and Lady came and lapped the running water! But Mewthos isn't happy with the amount he's getting, or something, he just put his paw on top of Janeys head and pushed! Fortunately he just pushed her away, not down - and she ducked out from under his paw. It was too funny, though!

Ziva is demanding lots and lots of scratching again tonight, I've just stuck my head into the shelf to reach her - she goes and sits at the back of the shelf next to me. When I stick my head in, her purring echoes in that small space and sounds like a lioness!

It was lovely and cool for a few days, but now it's back to hot Pretoria. Ah well, winter should be coming.

Cor, it's nearly nine again, I'd better skedaddle off to bed!
