Crazy Thursday

I woke up somewhat late, as I was up somewhat late. Mippies were already bouncing off the walls, hoping to go outside today - poor darlings, I had to call them back and shut the passage door.

I went to see the doggies, but they're still in their baskets, so I just removed the 'gate' and left them.

At work, I'm still beyond busy. I'm finally getting the labels onto bins, except now, the clear tape we meant to use, seems to be finished!?! And suddenly there's high pressure on production - sure, I can understand that it's frustrating to watch my staff working as leisurely as they do; but what do you expect when nobody is supervising? I desperately need to move from the store into the factory, but I can only do that, once the store - at least the production store - is accurate and working! And I'm busy cleaning up a mess that's been piling up over the past three years - when you take that into consideration, it's a miracle what I've achieved in less than three months!

Considering the mood here today, I can't wait to go home to my mippies! I'm hoping we get to leave early. We have a standing arrangement, where we take only half an hour lunch every day, instead of the full hour, and in return we leave early on a Friday. Since there is no Friday this week - and we still took only half an hour lunch, we're owed two hours. For some strange reason, top management feels it's a conditional decision. Ah well, whatever. I really don't care. I'm just looking forward to four days at home with my mippies in my garden!

Yay! We got to leave at three - which, of course, will come bite us next week, when we'll probably be told that Friday, we're only leaving at three, not half past two. But, whatever!

I was home at half past three - I took the toll road. And even though I got stuck behind a couple of trucks, I was still home by half past! Mippies were surprised to see me - but happy! They zoom zoom zoomed out as fast as they could and I went and sat outside for a bit. Then I went and checked on the doggies.

Shame, I think it must have been Lady, who used the toilet as her toilet. I cleaned it up and sat with her for a bit. She's still in her basket, not moving an inch! Luna puts her head in my lap and also shakes a little, but she seems quite fine. I'll go again later to let Luna out for a turn.

I checked on my plants, and there are quite a few yellow leaves. So I checked the moisture with my little gadget, and they're quite wet the deeper I check. I haven't really watered this week, yet the soil is still quite wet! Well, there are healthy green leaves growing, so I'm not overly worried. I'll just water even less.

Cor, it's the first time this week that I see my place in daylight! Just a pity that I'm not up to doing anything today - but relaxing is doing something for myself, so there!

This really has been a crappy week. The pressure is now on for me to start organising production as well as the store - and the store is STILL a long way from organised. Well, too bad - I've got two eager managers waiting to take over, and I don't think that would be good for business, in the long run. So, I have no choice but to climb in, myself.

Anyway, mippies had a lovely time outside today! Janey mippie pitifully looking for me a few times, one time while I was taking care of Lady's business. But we cuddled and she went off after some insect, quite happy!

I carried Luna outside and she went for a widdle. She's now so comfortable, she explores and takes a stroll around before going back inside. But Lady? Shame, she just lies in her basket, shaking. I am glad her people are coming back tomorrow! I'm getting rather worried about the little girl.

I considered cooking myself dinner tonight, since I'm home so early - but I'm not really hungry, so I just had a plum and some cookies.

I did a bit of weeding, but my heart isn't really in it tonight - my mind is still at work. I've really got a major mission on my hands there, and all the interference isn't helping. But Tuesday there'll be a different mood - although it could be an even worse one; one can never know. Well, I'm not interested - I'm planning on doing my thing, my way. And since I'll be producing results, I'm on solid ground.

Enough work babble! Mippies want lots of cuddles and lovies, so I'm off to oblige ...
