Almost Friday

Just after four this morning it started to rain - and rain! It came down by the bucket load! At one point it even sounded like some hail was mixed with the rain! I got up to check the front door, just in case, but the rain wasn't coming from the south, so all was well.

I then got up again about twenty past five, made my coffee and left for work. The drive was awful! I could barely see anything until I got to the Highway. At one point there was a major puddle just on the left of the road - I hit it full on! Since I could barely see the road, I drove slowly, so it wasn't any problem, still, it's not pleasant. Even on the Highway visibility was very poor and I stayed behind a truck rather than risk the fast lane. Ha Ha, real 'old lady' style of driving!

At work I finally made some real progress - and I've learned a new Excel formula: IndexMatch. So I've replaced all my Vlookup's with IndexMatch. I'm quite impressed with myself about the spreadsheet progress I've made today, it feels like things are finally coming together! Let's hope this streak continues tomorrow.

At home, when I opened the gate, I had no choice but to destroy a beautiful spiderweb spun in the center. It was one of those perfect cartwheel like ones - clearly freshly spun.

Today it was Lady Jane who sat in the kitchen window on the lookout for my arrival! I let mippies out and while they were out, cleaned their bowls and litter box before I went to join them outside. Since it had rained, I didn't need to water - everything's looking nice and green.

I stayed to watch my mippies eat their dinner, rather than going off to make my own while they are still eating. It's such a pleasure watching Mew gobble, gobble, gobble. He puts such enthusiasm into his food intake! Lady Jane and Ziva got the same excitement when I poured some Whiskas kibbles.

I peeled most of the eggs I had boiled on Monday and mixed the yolks with the sweet mustard and re-filled them for work tomorrow. For dinner I fried one of the hamburger patty things - delicious! And then I had an ice cream with my mippies! They're happy and quiet, even Mewthos!
