Quiet Monday

At around half past nine last night, the power went off. It came back about twenty minutes later and all the alarms sirened loudly. So I overslept somewhat this morning and only got up around six. I still got to work on time, only just on time.

As I drove off, my driver's mirror flapped loosely so I took it off. The only place I really need it, is at the Rosslyn crossing - I had decided to turn left, then right and turn around, but it wasn't necessary as there happened to be a wide gap in the traffic and I could get into the right hand lane without any risk to turn right.

Hardly anybody is at work, only one of my staff managed to get here, and only because he got a lift with a friend. There are no taxis on the roads - which is nice for me. Here, in Rosslyn, I did see a few taxis, but really just one or two.

I'm hoping someone here will be able to fix my mirror, since I really can't drive without it. It had come off the first time on our way from PE, but my driver glued it back with super glue - which held three months. Clearly it's not a permanent solution, though.

During my lunch time, I did a bit of surfing online to see which groceries I can have delivered to my work - I've submitted my location to PnP, let's see if they add Rosslyn to their delivery areas one of these days. The other online store is sold out on practically everything - almost permanently. Every time I looked on their site there are more 'Sold Out' items than 'in stock', so I doubt they'll be useful.

Then I tried to order pet food ... sigh, they are also out of stock on the items I really need, like the Fit 32. I've requested they notify me, when they've re-stocked - there are three items, the Fit 32, the Whiskas meat in gravy and the Flower Fountain Filters. I could really use some more of those filters, since I've been using the same filter ever since I bought it. But then again, I 'overuse' my own water filters as well, but the kitty one was looking a bit gungy last time, which is why I haven't put the dispenser up here, yet.

And then - as always - I scrolled through the cat toys available! Yes, I'd love to get them more toys, but which ones will they actually play with? Ha Ha! I also need some additional scratching options, since the scratcher is looking very, very used by now.

Back at home mippies frolicked outside for a good, long time! Mewthos came for cuddles over and over, Ziva roly-polied and Lady Jane just loved going off to explore! I tend to wait until they all come back of their own accord and sit around my feet before calling them inside. I gave them the last sachet of Whiskas today. Sigh, not sure what I'll do tomorrow.

I fried my frikadelle with the pasta and veggies and also packed tomorrows lunch. Dinner was delicious and I'm not hungry - for now, ha ha!

It's past eight already, I don't really want to go to sleep yet, but I guess I'll have to.
