I woke up at four this morning with yesterdays so-called 'Ops Meeting' still buzzing in my mind. What happened at that meeting really upset me, this time. It's not the first time and it won't be the last time, but it's got to stop. This unprofessional discriminatory pissing contest behaviour is unacceptable.
But I need to put that out of my mind and set my mind to 'home'.
Since I was up at four, mippies have wanted to go out since four o'clock! Ha Ha, I'm having trouble keeping the settled. They keep mipping at me asking 'why door still closed?'
At half past five I relented and went outside with my mippies - oooh, they love outside! Off they go running this way and that!
Since the large dogs have disappeared, they are also claiming the landlord's garden, and quite often they sit outside the bedroom window - behind the mesh - mipping to be let in! Then I have to open the bathroom window to let them in. Sigh. I'm now keeping that open.
I spent some time playing my game for a change, which has finally removed all work-related thoughts from my mind. Mippies keep mipping for cuddles when I'm at the PC, so it's kind of slow going - but fun!
I went to remove the gate from the doggies bedroom and sat with Luna on my lap for quite a while. She went and pulled the blanket off the bed and made herself a nest at the foot of the bed! Lady is still curled up in her basket, refusing to move. I am glad her people are coming home today!
I took a tour through my garden and found - to my delight - that the first Cosmos is already in full bloom! A second flower is also open and a third is about to open. The Vieruurtjie next to it also has a few flowers - lovely! There's also quite a spread of Nasturtiums growing between the two plus another Cosmos.
I just went to let Luna out for a widdle, and when I tried to encourage Lady, she snapped at me! Poor dear! When I opened the door, she came eagerly, but while I was opening the gate, she ran back to her basket again - that's when I tried to encourage her. But then, while Luna was outside, Lady came running out as well and did her business right next to Luna - then ran back inside again. Luna, on the other hand, strolled around, sniffed a bit here, rolled a bit there ... and then Mewthos arrived! He jumped up my leg for cuddles with Luna looking on quite curiously. And then Mewthos decided this is his chance to get inside the landlords house! I had to catch and carry him out - I dropped him in my flat; and he went straight back out, around and wanted to come back through the door! However, Luna was back inside by that time, so I literally shut the door in his face.
Then I went through my front door and called him - boy, did he only come running at top speed! If he was a dog, he'd have bowled me over! Still, every time I come inside, they all come inside with me ...
Just after nine my landlord arrives - Luna and Lady are beside themselves with joy! I'm quite relieved to see Lady back to her exuberant self again.
I've taken my Alströmeira out of their pot - and found roots, roots, roots everywhere. I don't have a pot that's just a little larger, only the big ones for my vegetables - but clearly, this one needs room, now. So, I fill one of the large pots and then see the Amaryllis and decide to take a look ... same situation! So now the two of them are bunk-mates in the same large pot. They've got plenty of space for their roots now.
The last Bush Beans and two Peas exiled to the garden. Sjoe, it's a lot of work just sifting through that ground to pick out roots - and it doesn't look like much. Not like pulling out the grass - where you can see big change for little work.
Another six Peas exiled and that's me done for the day. I have cleared space for another pot, I'm just waiting for my landlord to grind the bottom off - he said he'll do it tomorrow. He strolled by and saw me with a brown pot and assumed I had struggled with the saw again - but the brown pot still has it's bottom, I'm just using it for the clean soil, which I'll then mix with the potting soil.
I sat outside to relax for a while, then called in my mippies. They had their treats and are exhausted - ha ha, from their noon Siesta? They're all sleeping happily now, though - until four o'clock tomorrow morning, I presume. Ah well, they are lovely company - in the garden and in the home. Never dull, not even when they're sleeping - they're too cute to be dull!
