Wednesday is a Friday

Although I slept well, I woke up a little later than usual - just some twenty minutes later. Funny thing is, when I go to bed, my mippies all go to sleep elsewhere, but I always wake up with the lot of them in bed. Last night Ziva and Mewthos were stretched across the top of my bookshelf, whereas Lady Jane had curled up somewhere else. Later, Ziva retreated to under the sink on my towels and Lady Jane curled up in the chair - Mewthos stayed on the bookshelf. This morning I was the center of snuggle-town again!

I still had time for a leisurely coffee before going off to work. At work today, I held some one-on-one talks with each of my employees, getting to know them a little better. Some of what I learned is really quite depressing - I'd call it shameful. On a positive note, however, there are some aspects I CAN make a difference!

On another positive note, I seem to be held in high regard by my staff, and have earned quite a bit of trust in the short time I've been here. The sad thing is, this may lead to expectations I may not be able to fulfill. My management style is humanitarian, operating in an autocratic, dictatorial environment. Nuff said.

Back at home, mippies rushed outside nearly bowling me over! However, Mewthos was back inside very, very soon. He'd twirlied the two tops again, one after the other this time, not together and today he just wouldn't let me out of his sight for long. I had to pick him up and hold him before I could step into the shower, again when I stepped out and the was by my feet the entire way outside. When I got up to fetch something inside, he came mewling along! He didn't go for a stroll, although he tried to climb the tree - he got quite far, but wisely not too far!

Ziva and Janey went for a long stroll, yet, again, I had no trouble getting them inside! Although it hasn't exactly been a long day, a lot of what my staff told me today has quite worn me down, so I'm off to bed a little early.
