Half day

I woke up at a normal time, feeling fine, got dressed and went to work.

At work I began to get the headache again, but I figured it was because it was overcast. However, I also started to feel dizzy ... and that got worse as time passed! I tried eating, I tried liquids, but I was not getting better. So at noon I made the call and went home.

I wondered whether it might be due to the lack of greens in my diet, lately, so I stopped at Ninapark Spar to pick up some greens. I had hoped that they might have some pre-packed salads - but they had nothing. So I got lettuce, celery, cucumber and some vegetables. I also took a Sushi combo! I couldn't resist! I also noticed that they don't stock the litter sand, however, they do have rye bread. It's not spectacular, but it'll do. I also took some frozen veggies - small packs, just 'better than nothing'.

At home, the mippies were surprised, but happy to see me. I opened the door for them - but they didn't go rushing out! Instead, they stayed under my feet! I unpacked and then sat outside to eat the sushi. Then I went to lie down. Mippies followed, one by one: first Ziva needing her ears scratched, then Lady Jane needing extensive scratchies and cuddles and finally Mewthos - he didn't even come sirening, he just quietly snuggled up to me! Not for long, though.

Later on, Ziva went for an extended stroll and came back panting like a St Bernard in Africa! Wouldn't go and drink water, though, just lay there panting, silly girl! For myself, I'm feeling much better - fine, in fact. Not sure why, but glad that I am.

My landlord reckons I might have got a touch of sunstroke on Saturday - which is possible. It was overcast, sure, but the African sun can get you through the clouds. I should know better - and I was somewhat red Saturday afternoon, slight touch of lobster colouring.

It's also possible that this change in climate and activity is now catching up on my, add to that they joys of menopause and you have another possible diagnosis. Either way, I see no reason to worry.

Mewthos and Ziva went for another extensive stroll when I was watering the garden, Lady Jane stayed by my side - or rather, she was mesmerised by the pigeons! All my mippies had a lovely afternoon strolling, exploring, playing! When it was time to come in, I - once again - had not the least trouble! I called once and three mips came shooting through the gate!

I gave them a pouch of Royal Canin in Jelly - they cleaned the bowls! To the last piece and drop! So I gave them a Whiskas in gravy as well as some Whiskas kibbles in one bowl and I filled the kibble-puzzle with Whiskas kibbles as well.

For myself, I had the Sushi, I had some salad and I had a mango. I packed bread and salad for tomorrow at work, and for tomorrow evening there's still the steak I fried yesterday, but didn't eat and I plan on steaming some potatoes and vegetables. I plan on keeping it overnight to eat cold the next day with some avocado oil and maybe some balsamic vinegar.

Right now, Mewthos is driving me up the wall! He is being such a Mewsance! Mewling for cuddles, then going off ... only to siren back at the top of his voice! When I ignored him - after having cuddled and scratched his ears for about ten minutes - he went and jumped onto the kitchen counter and I just heard dishes rattling! Fortunately he didn't break anything, but I got quite shouty!

Well, he had better settle down, it's getting time for me to go to bed ...
