Another lovey early morning, only today I got a little
smarter. After enjoying the sunrise with my mippies outside, I started cleaning
– before it gets too hot! I’ve swept the flat and the first load is in the
machine. I’ve just had breakfast, and today I plan on finally uploading the
photos which should have been posted on the 25th January!
Done! Third load in the machine, photos posted. Photos
uploaded from the camera to the PC, next batch for blog selected. Fourth and
last load in the machine, Fridays shopping re-packed and in the freezer – it all
fit, and without squashing, so there should be no problem opening drawers! I
also remembered to leave something out for tonight, i.e. tomorrow’s lunch.
It’s noon and too hot to move … sigh. Mippies concur,
they’re flopped out everywhere. I’ve just hung the last load of washing, put
the ceiling fan on in the bedroom and I’ll flop over the bed …
An hour later, it’s still hot, cats flopping
everywhere … I had some fruit, my landlord gave me another three mangoes
yesterday! I’ve reconnected my external hard drive, so I’m no longer restricted
to just Doctor Who, if I want to watch something. Frankly, though, I don’t
really watch much. I usually only switch the PC on just before I go to bed.
Over the weekend I leave it on, but – apart from writing the blog – I also don’t
do much. I’m not playing my game so much anymore, simply because I don’t really
have the time. Pity, because I still enjoy it!
I haven’t unpacked a single box today, and what’s even
worse: I don’t feel the least bit guilty! I keep going outside for a smoke,
then coming back inside because it’s hot everywhere. Just one of those days –
lazy and without pressure. I’ve done all that needed doing, so why push? I also
haven’t put any plants from pots into the garden … However, I have posted all
the photos from the past two months!
I watched the sunset and my mippies having fun! Lady
Jane was chasing the revolving sprinkler, getting highly upset when she got
wet! Mewthos watched Lady Jane and Ziva had found a lovely spot in one of the
trees and watched all round everything. I didn’t want to end their fun, quite
yet.
I went inside and made myself the last Brezel with
Griebenschmalz. Halfway through dinner I decided it was getting too dark, it
was past seven, so time to bring my mippies inside. Ziva was already waiting
for the call and came in with no problem. Lady Jane was chasing something
across the lawn outside my garden – she wasn’t coming; and I don’t know where
Mewthos went … he didn’t respond to the ‘m’ word. So I decided one cat is
better than none and went inside with Ziva and gave her yummy munchie! Then I
shut the bedroom door and went looking for the rest of the clan.
I called the ‘m’ word again, and suddenly heard what
sounded like a herd of elephants stampeding towards my house! Yeah, you guessed
right: Mewthos! Top speed, right past me, inside, down the passage … skid: Door
closed? I open the door and he rushes inside for munchies!
Lady Jane was being difficult. I don’t know what held
her attention, but she paid no attention to my calls. I was just about to give
up when she came running from afar … with a guilty conscience! She slinked past
me and when she reached the closed door became quite anxious, trying to get out
the kitchen, then hide in the lounge … I closed the front door, picked her up
and scooted her through the door. She was behaving as if she expected a beating
– which is weird, because I’ve never beaten my mippies!
Well, they’re all inside now, with their tummies full
of yummies and their ears scratched and tummies tickled! Even though I napped
at noon, I’m quite tired already, and it’s just gone past eight.
Funny thing happened while I was showering: Mewthos
came sirening in and stood up against the shower door wanting to be let in! I
opened the door, he stuck his head in and decided “Nah! Too much wet!” Ha Ha!
