Long day

What a week, eh? Half-day - sick, full day, half-day Eishkom, extra long day, half-day again tomorrow, or rather a shorter than normal day.

I woke up before the alarm went off, had two leisurely cups of coffee, played with mippies and left for work.

At work, I was happy to see the power was back. I'm tempted to vent some frustrations here, but that's not fun to read, so I'll leave it be. At four we had a meeting - the one I had requested for some decisions on part numbering - and it continued until half past five.

Mippies were happy to see me, and I decided to take a chance and let them out. They stayed close by for the most part, only Ziva went for a walk-about. But as soon as I called the 'm' word, she came bounding at top speed! I gave them as much time as I felt comfortable to enjoy the fresh air. Mewthos comes for a mewl every couple of minutes - I think it may simply be his way of saying 'I still love you'. It would be much nicer, if he didn't have such a whiny mewl, ha ha!

I didn't feel like cooking, nor did I feel like eating. I'd had potatoes and broccoli with some salad at work, so I don't feel I need to worry. I packed another lunch of potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and salad for tomorrow.

Then I showered. Sigh. And then I sat down to play with my mippies! Mewly loves his wurmpie! Ziva and Lady were enjoying the stick-under-the-sheet game - especially with Mewly staying out of it! Ha Ha! He always comes bounding, crashing down on where he thinks the stick-end is! Both girls always retreat in disgust at his high spirits!

Once I come to sit at the PC, mippies come one by one for lovies. Lady Jane jumps on my lap for a quick walk-over-stroking, Mewthos mewls and flops down, then cries when I try to pick him up by the scruff of the neck - because he wants to be over my shoulder for lovies - and he's now too heavy for painless pick-up by the scruff! Ziva goes into the shelf and wants her neck scratched. Repeat randomly ad infinitum! And when I go to the toilet? Whoosh! Three mips surround me!

Well, I had better go to bed so I don't overlseep on the last day of the week!
