I couldn’t settle my mind so I didn’t
sleep too well and woke up late. I feel great with my short hair now, though!
Well, it’s not exactly short, just much shorter. It’s about shoulder length
now.
The weather is almost pleasant,
thanks to the cool breeze coming through the door. I’ve packed another couple
of boxes, started the second backup of my C-drive and I found the photo paper!
As it turns out, it was spread on top of my LPs and not already packed.
Using the PC is getting more and
more frustrating. Not only are a few keys non-responsive, but the mouse is
acting up as well, needing more pressure than normal. I’m very tempted to just
get the new set and to heck with the finances! But that’s exactly how I would
get into the red again – and the interest is no joke! What banks charge
nowadays is criminal, in my opinion – it’s extortion!
I’ve just re-done the photo
arrangement of Abby I had done for Rose and printed it on glossy photo paper –
it looks much, much better! So I took the eight photos I had used and printed
them as well, so she can cut them out and put them in a frame – if she’d like
to. Unfortunately one seems to be a little lined; I’m not sure why.
I’m trying to go through the photos
I just uploaded and I’m just about ready to take this mouse and throw it
through the window! It is the absolute height of frustration! Trying to click
and you never know whether it’ll click; double-click or whatever! I don’t think
I’ll be able to cope with this for another couple of weeks!
Another hour later, I finally
managed to upload them and add relevant captions. And I’ve reached the end of
my patience, I’m afraid. I can’t cope with this mouse for much longer;
definitely not for weeks! The game I play is almost exclusively mouse-action –
I can’t cope with all this moving stress; overcoming myself continuously to
keep doing what needs to be done AND stay calm with an erratic mouse!
Right! Delivery is due on Monday, 31st
January! Ha ha ha – “I’ll still get it this year” is actually not sarcasm! I
just hope they do come Monday and not Friday already.
I went for a stroll in the garden
and found myself surrounded by a whole cat colony! Apart from my three, there
was Frankie – who had been upstairs earlier for a single kibble munch – and Romeo
as well as Felix! For myself, I got pricked and poked by a horde of mosquitoes!
I have at least five red, itchy spots spread across my legs! I watered Mewthos
and my flower pots as well as what’s left in the beds; picked a couple of weeds
– just for old time’s sake – and came back upstairs … only to find Felix ‘trapped’
inside! Well, he was inside and wanted out – but he’s still scared of me so we
had a slow waltz to each get where we wanted to be. At least his eyebrow looks
much better!
I gave the mippies a chance to come
in on their own, but by eight they still hadn’t chosen to come, so I called
them. Ziva was here right away with Mewthos not far behind. Lady Jane decided
to try her luck again, though not for long – five minutes later I saw Mew &
Ziva running to the door sniffing excitedly – when I opened it, Lady Jane’s
head came poking in right away! Ha Ha Ha!
I took a quick cool shower again,
this time I also washed my hair – what a pleasure! So quick and none of the
time-consuming hassle to rinse it afterwards! After I combed it, I found a few
errant strands I hadn’t cut yesterday – they’re gone now. Sheez it feels so
good, I wonder why I didn’t do this long ago!
I stayed up late again and managed
to take some more photos of the moonlight on the ocean. I’ve tried so many
different settings I should hope at least one of the photos should has come out
well! Today it was between the trees and rather than a bright wide reflection
there was a narrow long line almost orange. A ship was right across the
moonlight.
I used my latest trick to claim my
own chair: I have a bowl of ice cream with custard, and when I’m done, I put it
on the kitchen floor for the mippies to wash! Ha Ha they love it and while they’re
busy, I go sit in my chair!
