Guess what? The power came back on
just after nine last night! I had just started meandering through my Brewer’s
Phrase and Fable when the fridge rumbled back into action! So, I switched the
PC back on to do tend to my cities and finish watching the movie I had started.
Again the struggle to sleep, but all
my mippies came to bed with me and it was such a pleasure watching them curled
up together, washing each other, it was just purrs and love!
I woke up from one of the most awful
nightmares I’ve had in a long time! It was about my father who just died of
cancer, and I also had been diagnosed with only a month to live to help the
family cope and accept what was happening, but they were already scrabbling
over money, and taking anything that wasn’t nailed down from the house.
After that, I just wanted to fill my
mind with something positive. I went online, had my coffee and chose to watch
the TV Series ‘The Invisible Man’ which was another light entertainment show,
though from 2000 it had a lot of the 80s feel about it.
The Omelette was a success, I added
some grated cheddar to the mix and filled it with the last of the spaghetti
dinner.
I got mail from the Agency
acknowledging receipt of payment – some auto-mail I suppose, nothing else. Yet.
Right now I just wish this awful
move was behind me, so I could use this time to actually live rather than
putting my life on hold. This is such a depressing stage, if I was younger, I’d
go through it fast rather than prolong it to three months. And that only takes
me to the move … after that, there’s still the cleaning, the unpacking and
settling in … and all of that with three traumatized mippies! But at least
there won’t be a deadline!
Sigh, power went out before two –
just a few minutes, but still. Fortunately I had shut down the PC early, so it
didn’t crash again. You’d think that people who get paid such high salaries are
at least able to tell the time, wouldn’t you? But when the schedule says two,
it can mean anything from quarter to till quarter past!
I started by washing the dishes, and
planned to pack some boxes afterwards. Instead, I got caught in a book! And now
I’m sleepy.
I took a nap, I was allowed an hour
before Romeo caterwauled me awake. I’m still tired, though.
After the large omelette, I didn’t
feel like a big dinner, so I just used up the last frozen blueberries and ice
cream to make a smoothie. That was quite enough for me. I went to bed early and
stubbornly refused to allow my brain any thoughts. All my mippies joined me,
washing and hugging each other!
