Urgh! I woke around half past eight! Mippies had grown
impatient and decided to rouse me. I could hardly move, though – my whole body
felt like it had been put through a wringer! I really must make a plan to get a
new bed. Soon!
First I let the mippies out, who gratefully ran into
the garden – while Romeo ran just as gratefully into my kitchen!
I made myself coffee and stuck the bread into the
oven. Then I caught up on my game – which I had let slide a bit yesterday. Then
I had breakfast – shared with my mippies, ha ha ha!
Mewthos gave me half a fright again this morning! He
was outside on the window sill when he heard Rose’s voice! And looked down –
calculating the jump to the ledge! I had to shout at Rose to go away, then try
to grab Mewly and pull him back inside! Fortunately Rose knew exactly why I’m
being so rude to her.
I started vacuuming, when Rose got back and brought me
my airtime. We had a quick chat in the company of all our cats! She
tells me Shadow has turned into a lap cat, she actually has trouble getting her
to allow Rose to go anywhere – isn’t that just lovely? She now has to pick
which cat she’d like on her lap, and then sit on the chosen cat’s preferred
chair! If she sits in the one chair, Frankie will come onto her lap, in
the other chair, Shadow joins her.
Bedroom done, passage done, bathroom done. I’ve done
half the lounge as well, now I’m taking a break. Poor Lady Jane is highly upset
about the noisy stuff I’m doing in the lounge! She’s just come in to complain
about it now, Ha Ha!
Finished! Phew! That was a big job – and I’m glad it’s
done! Now I can simply start putting everything I still use into boxes, so that
on the day, I just need to close those. I don’t mean my cutlery and last
crockery, yet, but the cleaning materials can go into a box in the cupboard.
Same with the gardening stuff. So that by next Sunday, the only thing left to
do will be pack my suitcase and that big box in the kitchen with the last items
still outside! I also want to take the lace curtains down in the lounge, and
maybe ‘replace’ the bedroom curtains with throws (blankets).
Curious Lady Jane had to investigate the large box!
She got in, but I had to lift her out! But only after I took a photo!
It’s not even six and my mippies want their treat – I don’t
think they’ll want to stay indoors, yet! So I went outside and watered the
garden with Mewthos. He inspected the pots I had watered and then gave his
approval by jumping on my leg! I noticed that quite a few of the pots are now
sprouting Nasturtiums as well!
Not yet half seven and all three mippies are back! So
I give in … it’s still light outside, they could play for another hour – but if
I open the door AFTER they’ve had one treat, they’ll never come back! It’ll be
that game again, where I end up wandering up, down and around with a lamp
chasing after mippies! Strangely enough, they’re all quiet and apparently happy
to be shut in for the night, already!
I took the opportunity to shower. When I was drying
myself, Mewthos went and sat in the bath – getting his bum all wet! He didn’t
notice, though. Afterwards he mewled for attention, so I sat down with the
stick and an open sheet of newspaper. All three got involved, even Ziva loves
this game! Lady Jane started washing Mewthos, so I could get up and cook
dinner.
