I’m still in the dog box – so to speak – with my
mippies! Not one of them is sleeping with me, they all sleep in the lounge! Well
it could be because the bedroom is rather stuffy, since I can only open the
fanlight during the day.
Ziva came to wake me up at five! No clue, why – and
I’m sorry, but with all the drama over them coming in at night, I had forgotten
to pay attention to my liquid intake … and spent the first two hours up and
down to the bathroom; before I could finally go to sleep!
I got up just after six, though. They were very
peaceful and quietly waited for the time to open the door!
Bit of a challenge in the online game: There’s a new
Fellowship Adventure due to start this week – and nobody will lead. I had a
look and decided to lead it myself. I spent some time preparing a really simple
spreadsheet for everyone to use – should be a doddle!
I’ve got a reply from Move-A-Pet so that’s all set –
just need to go to their offices to hand in the booklets and to pay. I showed
Rose the directions, and we’ll go tomorrow afternoon – I hope I can get the
mini’s locked in!
Speaking of which: I’m happy to say that, since her
fall, Lady Jane hasn’t gone down onto the ledge! She’ll stretch on the window
sill, but she hasn’t jumped down to the ledge again!
I’ve been trying to come up with a way of weaving a
little mat for Rose’s egg basket, to keep the eggs from rolling around on the
flat bottom. You’d think a plain mat would be easy, but I can’t quite figure
out how to finish the ends. I’ve been experimenting, but so far I’m not happy
with the results. Yet.
WOW! After last night’s long battle to get my mippies
inside, today it went off like a charm! First Mew-Mew came for munchies, so I
put him in the bedroom. Outside, I called and Lady Jane came halfway up the
steps, I picked her up and just as I was adding her to my cat-collection in the
bedroom … Ziva came running in and ran straight into the bedroom! And it isn’t
even half eight, yet! As a reward, I gave them three treats!
I had showered earlier – expecting another cat-hunt –
and now I’ve just had dinner! A much better evening than yesterday! I think the
trick is to get them in at sunset, before the night time insects come out to
play.
What a cheeky Lady Jane! I was sitting in the
armchair, enjoying my ice cream, when she inched her way on to my lap and
started helping herself to custard! Right there, while I’m eating on one side,
she’s got her tongue stuck in the other side of my plate! Since I wasn’t eating
at the table, I allowed her the cheek!
I’ve changed a lot with regards to rules for cats in
my home! Dogs may need leadership and authority – but cats respond to love! The
more I spoil them, and the more time I spend with them, the more they try to
please me.
