Day 72 of 100, Thursday 3rd January

Bwaaahaaahaaahaa! My mippies really are a clever bunch! They’ve caught on to the latest trick of getting them off my chair – last night, they wouldn’t go to the kitchen to clean my ice cream bowl! I thought maybe I can give them a taste of it, they’ll follow … nope! I ended up holding the bowl for them, all three sitting in the chair, while they cleaned it! And then they settled back in the chair! I had to lift them out, one by one, to get a turn to sit in it!

Mewthos wasn’t happy about that, he kept wandering around, trying different places – he was only happy when Lady Jane got up and he took her place by Ziva on my desk chair! And Lady Jane? Well, she decided that she’d like more cuddles! She came and settled on my chest – I had to slouch down to make it comfy for her! She settled down for good! I had to lift her off to go to bed!

When I did get to bed, mippies followed! I had stayed up quite late, only went to bed at midnight, so I was too tired for games – Lady Jane mipped insistently for more cuddles, though, so I created a cuddle cave for her. When she decided she was happy, Ziva mipped for her turn! She needs more assurance, I need to actually pick her up and carry her into the cuddle cave. She is not as confident as the mini’s, yet. I’m working on that, though. When she walked off happy, I could finally go to sleep – which didn’t take me long.

And yet, I woke up nice and early! I got up around seven, coffee and breakfast – I baked up a fresh bread! Yummy!

Mippies got all excited hearing a major cat fight outside! I looked out the window, but couldn’t see anything – Rose was at home, so I knew Frankie was safe, or she would have come outside. I guess Felix is attacking poor Romeo again! I remember yesterday I picked a claw out of Romeo’s fur! I didn’t go outside to break it up, since it was too early for my clan to go out.

Today is extremely windy! I’ve had to close the window! Skies are blue on one side, but there are clouds blowing in from the North West. My head is clear, no pressure, and no discomfort.

The minis were being a nuisance, Lady Jane so keen on more and more cuddles – I decided to take them outside for a while! They ran downstairs eagerly! I took care of some wilted Cosmos, wilted carnations and filled two more pots with flowers from the garden. I added Tecoma logs to the flower pots where I could, as well as some of the fertilizer and I even found a few handfuls of compost!

When I cut the dead carnations, I was able to pull the last supports from the garden – so I collected them all and tied them up neatly for transport. I didn’t really want to fill too many flower pots to be transported, but there is such a lot in that garden which can be transplanted – it would be such a shame to leave it to die or be killed! And I’ve already plonked into every available gap, there’s nowhere left where they’ll be safe!

As soon as I went back upstairs, both minis followed! Ai ai ai! Mewly stood up against my leg, and since I’m wearing shorts, his head disappeared! Ha Ha! Getting into my pants is not very polite, Mew-mew! I went and sat on the lawn for a bit, so he could get his lovies. He likes to throw himself at me, rather than being held tight.

After a while I hear Rose is back from her gallivants, she spent the day with her daughter, who in turn is enjoying a rare holiday! While they were selecting cuttings, I watered my garden – making sure that Mewthos can see what I’m doing! Ha Ha! I don’t want him sitting forlorn on the lawn next to the tap again tonight!

I received two more SMS confirming pet micro chip registration, so now all three are officially registered.

I’ve cleaned the kitchen and folded the laundry – in terms of packing, I only packed in the garden – the short night is catching up with me and I’m getting rather tired. I’m not up to doing any boxes today. I’ll probably do some tomorrow.

The wind today is really unpleasant, it is so strong, it keeps lifting the lid to the attic! It’s uncomfortably cold in the wind outside, even Ziva has come in now. Let’s hope I’ll have no trouble with them again, when I want to shut the door!

No trouble getting my mippies in tonight! Good thing, too! I’ve got a bit of a headache from overtiredness, bed at nine tonight!
