Scratcher stability

Yay! I woke up just after seven – lovely! Let Ziva and the Mips out, had coffee. By eight the Mips were coming back, the gardener showed up and the morning wasn’t over, yet! Once the Mips curled up for a nap, I sneaked out to go shopping. Got drill-bits, a Vernier and groceries. And three bags of litter – which the gardener carried up for me! 15kg – lovely to have someone offer to carry that for you!

Back upstairs, I open the desk drawer – and Lady Jane grabs a piece of paper out of it! It was hilarious! She got up on her haunches and then put her teeth on just that one single piece of paper and pulled it out! I had to take it away, though – she didn’t mind.

Well, it was a major mission, but I finally managed to get that scratcher stable and done! Good thing I bought a Vernier as well, since what’s called 8mm drill-bit is actually only 6mm. And I needed 8mm holes. Well, apart from the thread sticking out the top, it’s all done now. I may need to put some tape around that, but let’s first see. I’m still waiting for the Mippies to go nuts over it.
Not much more to tell, visited Rose, did the dishes, fried myself some Bratwurst for dinner, had a Mip smack into my ankle as he was zooming full speed from bedroom to lounge. Just another day in the life of happily dull me. Now I’m just waiting for Ziva to show up, so I can go to bed – I’ll make myself another Chamomile before bedtime, though, seeing as it worked so well.
