Backup Saturday

Yeah, that early wake up thing didn’t work out, after all. It’s lovely and cold outside, a bit uncomfortable, but beats unbearably hot. Never thought I’d say this, I always preferred hot weather to cold – but these past few summers? Definitely too hot, even for me!

I didn’t have to go out today, so I didn’t. Instead, I started backing up my files – haven’t done a full backup in a year, and I don’t want to risk loosing my newborn kitty photos!

While the copying is in progress, I’ve been thinking about that scratcher issue – long story short, I’ll have to get a larger drill-bit.

Relations between Ziva and Mewthos are really strange – one minute she’s lying in the doorway, growling at Mewthos (poor mite is too scared to come in) and an hour later she jumps onto the chair where he’s sleeping and grooms him! Right now, Ziva is in the flower pot, Mewthos on the chair next to me and Lady Jane is on the blankie. They’ve all three been around me most of the day – even Ziva, though she did go walk-about in the morning. It’s cold and unpleasantly windy, but dry today.

Well, it took all day, but everything is backed up now. Well, not 100% but everything I value is safely backed up. Now for part two. Which – again – will take a lot of time; so I’ll get to that tomorrow. It’s half nine now, and I haven’t started on the Literature, yet. So, tomorrow it is. Just heard some strange noises outside – at first I thought someone had their TV on super-loud, but it’s a sermon of sorts, that kind of zealotry scares the bejeebers out of me!

Anyway, Mips are asleep – one on the chair, one on the blankie and I’ll bet Ziva is on the bed. I’m lovely cool, almost cold, so snuggling under my warm duvet will be wonderful!
