I probably should, but won't reflect on the past year. It's weekend, I have gardening ahead, why start the day by depressing myself?
I woke relatively early, and it's quite cold now, in the mornings. That won't last, I gather. Weather report forecasts temperatures going up to 30 Celsius again, starting with a high of 28 today.
I've connected the phone to the PC, and I'm puzzled ... it shows less than 50% memory in use? Well, I want to delete all those gardening journal photos anyway - once they're posted, I'll need them on the PC rather than on the phone.
I prefer working on a PC. I don't like working on a phone - probably habit, but there it is. So, I'm simply going to copy everything to the backup, sort it out on there and delete off the phone, one by one, as I get time & feel like it.
Just after eight, Sir Fruit calls again, wanting to deliver! I apologised again and explained. Again, he said they'll re-schedule delivery for Tuesday ...
I've taken the bread dough out of the fridge, so I can bake some bread rolls for today and tomorrow, I'll make another Stroganoff for next week. Laundry is in the machine ... I've taken a stroll around the garden to decide what I should do today. Everything! Ha Ha! Anyway, the new Avo tree seems to be adapting, the leaves seem to be perking up again.
After being actually cold this morning, I thought it would be nice to work in the sun to warm up ... yeah, right! Never mind 'warm up', it wasn't half an hour and my arse was on fire! Well, my back, at any rate, and if I moved on the stool, touching surface that had been in sunlight? Rocket straight up!
I considered taking out the Gazebo, as I really want to clear that bed ... but looking at the weather? Yeah, not going to work. Wind, clouds, sunshine, dark ... no clue when what's about to happen!
At least I was able to upload yesterday's gardening photos. Today, I decided to try something. I cut open a milk bottle (basically cut the label off), filled it with soil and hung it on the fence next to the gate. Then put Nasturtium seeds in there. The plan is for the Nasturtium to grow downwards, creating a cascading carpet down the fence, providing shade. I want to clear the weeds along the fence, and make a bed there ...

| Without knowing the plan, this looks kind of strange, eh? |
Yeah, I know. I want to make a bed here, there, everywhere ... meanwhile, I'm not even able to keep up with the weeding of the two beds I DO have!
Three o'clock and I've almost finished weeding the flower bed. I was pleasantly surprised to see some Alstroemeria growing in the bed! Burying the roots in that bed was kind of my last attempt to nudge some life into them - grow or die, kind of thing. I'm really surprised that some have managed to grow!
The plants in that bed were looking awfully droopy, so I decided to call it quits for today and put the sprinkler on. It's quite windy and clouds come and go ... maybe, putting the sprinkler on, will get the message to the weather that rain is desirable? It worked last time ...
The Sweet Peas aren't doing so well, though. A lot of them have dried up ...
It didn't start to rain, quite the opposite. The sky cleared and the sun came blazing down. Well, I managed to finish clearing the succulent bed again! It wasn't all that much. I also cleared the row from the grill to the corner, along the fence - that was full of large weeds! I'm not sure what I'll do tomorrow ...
The Forget-Me-Not look like they are starting to sprout! That is awesome! I've NEVER yet managed to grow any! Thyme is also sprouting, so it's taking me longer and longer to take the photos and upload them. Still manageable, so far. The avocado tree looks troubled ... two of the leaves are turning brown? Probably the culture shock.
Smeagol came for lovies and I made some time for him, as I'm not rushed tonight. He comes more for the lovies than the food! I am a little worried, that he doesn't seem to be picking up weight - but maybe I'm just not seeing it. I'm very bad at noticing such differences ... even when I'm looking for them.
I just took a bath in my Mustard Foam Bath ... when you add my honey soap with that, if you roast me, I'll be one fine tasting chicken! Ha Ha!
Look what's behind me, all cuddled together:

Well, I'm happy with my achievements today - all round. Tomorrow I'll start with my kitchen chores, and will only get to the garden, if there's time.
