Lock-down Day 344

Normal morning ... work ...

Back at home, it's overcast and thunder rumbling. It looks like it might rain - but who knows? Still no sign of Smeagol, except the food bowl is less full. Not completely empty - which tells me, he's not going hungry. He has enough food. I re-fill it, anyway.

Well, it's Friday, so I give mowing the lawn a try, but it's not worth it. Good, because I really want to get that last patch of jungle on the main lawn cleared - no matter how. Even though it's just a small patch, now - it's bugging me. So, off I go and start clearing.

Clouds are gathering, thunder rumbles, drops are falling - Mini stays by my side, faithfully! When I finally show some sense and tell her we're done - she races to the veranda at top speed, because the wind is quite strong by now, and large drops are promising to turn into a downpour soon.

I only just made it inside, still got wet and didn't get to lock the outside room - before it came pouring down! A regular cloudburst, albeit a short one. Three mips inside - but I can't find Ziva. No cause for alarm, though - because Ziva is scared of loud weather, and always hides. She's good at hiding - so good, I NEVER find her! Remember her Pan Tau moves, when she first moved in with me? Yeah, now you see her, now you don't! I go from room to room, opening wardrobes, looking everywhere ... when I get worried, and look outside, she comes out of hiding just to let me know she's okay!

Funniest part was dashing through the rain to turn off the sprinkler! Yeah, I don't do much in the way of normal, eh?

Half an hour later, thunder is still rumbling, but it's stopped raining. I think I'll call it a day anyway - it's darkish, so I don't really want mippies outside again. I've put the laundry in the machine, might as well get that done.

I'm eating the last plums, not in peace, though - mip after mip mips at me for ... turns out that the clouds are dispersing and it's light outside, again. They want to go back outside ... so, I let them!

6 mm Rainfall!

Quarter to seven, this time it is really getting dark, so I go out to call in my mippies ... I go out, I call Janey and she comes running at top speed, followed by Mini! I call Ziva, she stalks across the gate to the wall, where she can jump off and comes running at top speed! Mewthos needs two invitations - I had to use the 'm' word (munchies) twice before he, too, came running at top speed! Isn't that just lovely? They did have 2 treats earlier already, yet they still come running home, when I call!

I decided to take a bath, and Mewthos came. He strolled around the bath telling me exactly what he thinks about me lying in water and that, in his opinion, what I should be doing, is give him another treat!

Well, I'd better tend to my mipping mippies ...
