Bit of a rude awakening, first Mewthos stepped on my head, then Mini clawed at it. Not to hurt, she still has to learn about claws - but she already knows not to be too rough! Then, to round things off, I found a pile of ... vomit on the bed! I found it by putting my hand in it ... sigh. Clever mippies, though, used the towel on the bed, so none of my bedding was affected!
At work, I don't have much to do, so I spent some time chatting in the office. Something I don't often do - mostly, I just stay in the store, by myself. I talked plants! Ha Ha! Just can't help myself ...
Now, back in my office, the internet is down. I can at least still type my post, just not save it. No worries, though!
I've now placed my juice order - I specifically took the list and token to work today, as I realised too late last night, that I'd forgotten; plus, the internet was quite bad last night. Anyway, it's done, now.
I've been looking up gardening stuff, which just confirmed my opinion, that, what I need most is space in the garden! Yes, I would love to play around with seeds, grow things, but what would be the point, if I have nowhere for them to go, when they've outgrown their womb? At least with all the herbs, that won't be a problem. They can grow quite happily in pots, almost indefinitely. But vegetables will need to grow in the ground - and look how I'm already stressing over all the trees that already need to go into the garden?
Speaking of which, I've decided to plant the Avocado trees in a row next to the one I've already planted. What's growing on the ground there isn't lawn, anyway. And I haven't done any clearing along the west fence, yet. Both those partitions need a lot of work, still.
I've also had an idea about creating shade: I can use plastic bottles, open them along the side, add soil and tie them horizontally to the top of the fence - and grow Nasturtium in them. Nasturtium will grow thick and crawl down the fence - or I could plant Nasturtium on the ground, they crawl up the fence, too! I just have to keep an eye on them, because they spread quite prolifically and scatter their seeds everywhere! Once you've got them in the garden, they are there for keeps!
I've also looked into the matter of fertilizer. For now, I'm going to try to get away with none, simply because what I'd be encouraging would be weeds! But once I have some beds for veggies, I can get into that. The soil here is fertile enough - but once I start growing vegetable, they'll suck the nutrients out of the soil, and I'll need to replace them.
Cor blimey! I just got mail that my juice would be delivered tomorrow! Incredibly fast!
I've been thinking about all those fancy seeds I've got stashed ... I think it would be a good idea to start tackling them. One by one.
We had a good amount of rain at work, but when I got home ... not even half a mm! That's putting a damper on my gardening plans ... especially planting the Avocado!
So, after my chores, (which included feeding Smeagol and giving him some lovies - poor boy can't even finish one pouch of wet food! Not sure why he can't eat more ...) I took my tools, selected a spot and started digging.
Without much success. I didn't get very deep - about 2 cm, and the ground is hard. So, I filled the hole I manged to dig with water and let it sink ... or so I thought. Mini had other ideas! She decided the hole needs to be closed, ha ha! So, when she had finished, I dug it out again. Still not very deep, not even deep enough for the roots - they'll just have to dig themselves in, I'm afraid. But the second Avocado tree is planted!

| This one looks much, much healthier than the first one I planted outside! |

| The first tree is about 4 meter to the right of this new one. |
And another seed has started sprouting: Chamomile! I'm wondering whether I haven't taken too much on myself, adding the daily photographing and uploading of all photos to my evening routine? Especially as it now gets dark so much earlier ...
Well, rain or no rain today, the lawn will need mowing tomorrow. Pfffft! Not particularly looking forward to that ...
I've just been triple-mip cuddle attacked! Ziva started, by insisting on cuddle time until I got up and cuddles, them Mewthos wanted his share or he threatened to mewl me insane, and when I thought I could come sit here again, Janey jumped onto my lap, strolled up to my shoulders and massaged them for a good while ... sticking her bum in my face along the way! Mini is waiting her turn ...
I still have some thoughts I'd like to write down, now ... but I don't stand a chance against my mippies!
