Lock-down Day 346

Late morning, I only got up at half seven. Let mippies out, made myself coffee ...

Half past eight, bread dough is on the go, but I'm still not sure what I want to do with the rest of the potatoes.

Okay, I've decided to cut up what will fit, add celery and olives. I had bought olives WITH pit - never again! What a mess! NEVER again! Anyway, that'll be lunch for the week. I've packed the rest of the potatoes in the fridge - I can decide what to do with them during the week.

I've planted another cherry pit, again in a peat pellet. Never give up hope!

I have a problem with the new water fountain - I'll have to somehow get to the pump, because it's not pumping. Cleaning doesn't solve the problem - so ... sigh ...

I've ordered meat for the month. I've given it a bit of thought, and, considering the size of my freezer, I think I'm better off paying a bit more per kg, then get less. The best price is for 6 kg bulk, and that fills my freezer ... so, today I ordered 2 kg, and some kebabs and some pork neck and some beef strips for Stroganoff. That gives me more variety.

Bread dough is ready, now I want to make some muffin dough to bake at the same time ...

Just on two, bread baked, muffins baked, dishes washed. Now I still need to cut the tobacco leaves and try to sort out the fountain ...

I've not just cut the tobacco, but rolled myself a stash of cigarettes as well. I don't feel like doing anything ... like my Sunday is all about the following week ... feels a bit of a drag. Not always, just today, for some reason.

Look at who just showed up in daylight! But look at his nose ... it's outlined bloody ...
Something happened, right?

He's cuddling what's left of the desert roses ... I'm not going to stop him, they'll survive.
He's begging for lovies again - but as wary of me as he was weeks ago.

Well, I was able to stroke his head a few times. He was roly polying around the succulent bed like crazy, but not purring.

That was after he'd almost finished a pouch of Whiskas. Ziva caught me, so I gave her a bit, too before taking it out to Smeagol.

Look what's hitching a ride on my Brussels Sprouts?

Lovely, eh? I've got a cheeky mushroom growing among my peat pellets!

I've spotted two more Litchi poking through the soil, that makes a total of five Litchi growing! Would be lovely if each were to grow into a tree, eh?

Smeagol stayed around, getting lovies, munching on and off. Half seven he strolled off - I had to hold Mewthos back, he seemed to be looking for a fight. I decided to call mippies in, give them their treat and call it a day ...

Feels like a wasted day, like I've done nothing. In a way it's true, I've done a lot of chores, but nothing more ... well, too late now, anyway.

Oh, and I re-homed the first batch of plum pits. I opened the paper and it looked like it was starting to grow mold - I think I didn't get all the flesh off, properly. Some plums you can just cut in half and take the pit out clean, not the ones I got, though. Not all my toys are packaged 'to go'.

Well ... time to cuddly Janey, she's mipping up a storm at the moment ...
