Lock-down Day 357

Lovely to have a load-shedding free night for a change! Only ... they went back to Stage 2 at 9 last night, then this morning announced that all load shedding will be suspended from 10:00 - 14:00 for King Goodwill Zwelithini's funeral, and then we're back to Stage 2 until Saturday morning. It's like a yo-yo, bouncing up and down! Friggin' ridiculous!

Anyway, Ziva didn't want me to go to work, she really needed cuddles this morning. She didn't get her regular dose last night, as I was too busy playing on the PC! I did make some time for her this morning, of course, but ... yeah ... I have to go to work.

Okay, my sickle will be delivered tomorrow before five. Hmm ... shall I re-schedule to Tuesday or take a chance that it will arrive before half three? I'm taking the chance!

Okay, I've dug out my old, obsessively details seed spreadsheet! Ha ha, why do simple, if I can overcomplicate? Of course, that means, a lot more research before I can get started ...

Well, I'm thinking of starting off easy, with herbs I've grown before, so I already know the important stuff. All I really need to know for now is whether the seeds need light to germinate. If so, they need to be on top of the soil, not covered. 

I'm thinking of fetching At this weekend, either Sunday or Monday, when I don't have chores. Probably Sunday. I suggested it and he'd love that! He'll let me know tomorrow. 

I haven't invited him for a while now, simply because my weekends are just too crowded - too much to do. And I can't do everything Saturday to have Sunday free. Anyway, long weekend works. 

Back at home, I read a message that a place near home was robbed last night! Seven in the evening, they cut the power and when they went to check the box, they were waiting! Held the family at gunpoint while they took everything they could load ... 

Smeagol showed up, poor sod has even more ticks growing fat on him! I wish there was something I could do! Since he wasn't fighting, I gave him a treat. 

We had less than 1mm rainfall, so I watered my flower bed while I did a bit of weeding in front of the succulent bed. Then I watered that are and moved to the driveway to weed. Mewthos jumped onto my back for a while then jumped back onto the veranda.

Back inside I quickly bathed and had dinner, then watched 'Vera' until the power went off.  Now I'm writing this post, waiting for the power to come back so that I can finish the episode. Hopefully just half an hour, not a full hour. 

I made sure this phone is fully charged, so I could do anything I feel like, watch something on YouTube perhaps ...

Ah! Power is back! Just before ten, too! Since it only went off about ten past, I was a bit worried ... glad to be wrong!
