Lock-down Day 351

State of Disaster has, yet again, been extended! Numbnuts patting themselves on the back, how good a job they are doing! In my opinion, the fact that they STILL can't open everything up is proof of their incompetence! It's been a year - they got stacks of money, plenty of time, and we're no further than we were 6 months ago!

Anyway ...

I had another extremely early morning. I had a weird dream, that I was moving out shortly ... yet, it didn't seem to upset me? If that were to happen, I'd be devastated! I do NOT want to move again. Not ever!

I think I have come up with a planting system that'll work for me. I've tried various spreadsheets, and there is just so much variety in the data relating to each of the plants, a spreadsheet just can't cover everything. Well, if I create a column for each aspect, it just gets too complex ... so: I'll create a document, where I collaborate all my notes, and in a spreadsheet, I just tick off whether I've got everything I need to get started. Like the needed soil, pots, etc. And in the calendar I plan when to start what. Lastly, in my Gardening Blog, I keep photos of everything, labelling every single post.

I just see that now my delivery is due on Monday. Back and forth, like a yo-yo! No problem, though! I think I'll wait until I have my greenhouse, before I start any more seeds ... if I can contain myself, that is!

Back at home, I found the flower fountain wide open, with maximum splash factor! Floor wet all round! I closed it and re-filled it so it can run silently. Went to clean the litter boxes, when I got back: hello, splashy fan! Her Ladyship has decided she likes the splash effect ... grrr ...

I started mowing the lawn, but it's really not worth it. I mowed out back, under the Jacaranda tree, and the partition outside my bedroom, a couple of rows out front - and I didn't even have a full bag! I carried on, regardless, until I filled one bag ... that's more than half the lawn mowed! Enough! It's really not worth the effort at the moment ... and especially not worth the risk of a sunburn!

I thought I might try clearing outside, but the sun was simply too strong. I could feel my brain starting to fry, so I gave up on that. It needs to be done, though. Weeds are already growing thick just behind the fence, especially that creeper.

I came back inside for a break and a think. I decided to weed the driveway,  which was thick with weeds.  That kept me busy until clouds moved in and it started to rain. I could tell it was the start of rain, rather than a drizzle, and I moved quickly - packing my tools away and getting inside.

Mippies followed quickly,  too.

For some reason I started to boil the kettle, thinking at the same time that it's too early - I should wait. Good thing I did, though! Soon after,  the power went out! Not load shitting, but an outage.

That meant no bath and no dinner! Crap! Well,  I couldn't do without a wash, no way! I ran a bath, low water pressure so it was very slow. But since most of the pipes are above ground, the sun had heated a fair bit of water and my bath wasn't too cold. I only filled it about ankle deep ... not ideal but I felt much better for it!

Mini thinks brushies are heavenly! Every night she paws at the brush and gives me this look! Well,  not much else do in the dark,  is there?

I had eaten a muffin with custard when I got home,  so - without power - I had some chocolate for dinner.  Breakfast will have to wait, too, because even if the power comes back, it'll be turned off from 06:00 - 08:30 tomorrow morning.

I read until I was tired, then went to sleep  ...

I was just nodding off, when the power came back! Ten to nine! So I put on my audiobook and put both phones on charge.
