Relatively early morning, and I have some energy. I see that I missed the 'Family Meeting'. We're still on Level 1 - but: now our government is looking into mandatory vaccination! And that seriously troubles me! When it comes to dividing people, and having to carry a document to be allowed to enter public places ... that didn't end well for Jews in Germany, nor non-Whites in America nor South Africa. Yes, it's different - but it is also the same.
My early morning was also spoiled by work intruding into my mind. I'm firmly pushing it out - it stays to nag at the back of my mind, though.
Anyway, I've made myself coffee, and now I'm getting into gear for the day. I've looked out the bedroom window - and I absolutely have to mow that partition, today! Same will probably go for the section I didn't get to on Saturday. Having done nothing at all yesterday, I'll have to start with the 'absolutely musts' today.
Well, I've thoroughly cleaned the refuse drawer - again. It was much less work than the first time. Then I swept and washed the floors. Next, I should wash down all Mewthos' territorial markings ... sigh.
Well, it's noon. I've cleaned the fridge and re-packed everything. Well, still need to do the bottom drawer and the door, but for the most part, I'm happy!
My groceries have arrived - at work. I'll get them tomorrow.
I just set the bread dough to start ... and realised that I had forgotten to place the key piece! The little thing in the center, that does the actual mixing & kneading! Duh!
Going on four, and the only 'must' left to do is to wash the dishes. I've cooked myself rice, chopped in tomatoes and herbs from the garden, as well as the first broad beans I've harvested!
It's over 30 again, today, so I've put on my new air cooler. I'm running it off solar power, with one of those new gadgets. Which didn't last very long ... I think that gadget hasn't fully charged, despite being in the window sill all day today. Yesterday doesn't count - too overcast.
Ah! There was no manual in the box, nor much outside the box - but on the sales page they recommend to fully activate the battery, to charge via wall outlet at least the first 2-3 uses. And solar charging is apparently very slow ... no problem.
Smeagol came for another visit, then trotted happily off - after another treat, some attention and a good long sit behind the Marigold! Ha Ha! Mippies are treated and inside ... and quiet, for a change! It's just after seven ...
Well, almost five and all I still need to do is pack my lunch! I got quite a bit done today, though I didn't get into the garden. Well, blazing hot sun today, so it wouldn't have been much fun, anyway.
