Coffee! First thing I did, was make myself coffee! First cup of coffee in three days! On Saturday, I dissolved some instant coffee in water and filled the cup with milk. Sunday, I had no coffee.
Next thing I did, was to turn on the geyser - I NEED a shower! With no ceiling fan, hot flashes throughout the day and night on top of 30 Celsius temperatures? I'm miserable!
I just checked my WhatsApp. Turns out that the pole, that caused this power outage, was sawed off! Sabotage! Lovely! Political Numbnuts trying to who-knows-what and WE pay the price! And when I say Numbnuts, I mean terrorists, because that's exactly what they are!
Anyway ...
I've showered! What bliss! I feel like a completely different person! Even though I still have a lingering headache.
Well, I've paid my rent - with an apology for the late payment. We'd only agreed on the amount on Wednesday (the whole water pump meter calculations), and during load shedding, my internet connection is unreliable. Then, with no power the past 2 days ... internet is still unreliable, but I chose to take the chance - I don't like paying late.
I've got a busy day, today - I'm not going to rush, though. I'll do what I feel up to.
I've hung up the washing, and cleared the kitchen in readiness for the dishes ...
Just stumbled across an interesting article, explaining why we're facing such load shedding - and I have to say, it makes sense.
Oh crap! Here we go again! Power is out! Just past noon ... so much for my chance of baking lunch!
