Amaryllis! That's the name of the flower blooming out back! The red one has about five flowers at the moment, and the white one has two.
Standard night, early morning. Coffee.
Looking forward to another long weekend, though! I AM planning on going to Makro either Sunday or Monday ... but I'll see how I feel about it, first.
Oh, FFS! Load shedding will be implemented in 30 minutes! THAT is the total amount of 'warning' we get! Stage 2 from 11:00 with expectation of escalation over the weekend! So, from 18:00 - 20:30 ... no power tonight! Actually, the poor guys who are there now, will have their power turned off at 11:00! I've sent a message to two of my neighbours ... and asked them to post in the group. I've now 'Liked' Eishkom's Facebook page, so their announcements now pop up in my newsfeed. Faster than waiting for any news to show it ...
Of course, only when I'm actually AT a PC! Which, at home, is very little!
Today, it's hot again. We had about 1 mm rain over night ... I hope this afternoon's mowing won't be in the blazing sun! Hmmm, checked the weather report - chance of rain when I get home. Hmmm ... can't mow wet grass. The drop in temperature will be good, though! Ah, well ... I'll see what happens ...
I was surfing / scrolling through facebook, and came across this:
Aaaand, here we go again: After load shedding Stage 2 for not yet 3 hours, we're on to Stage 4! Starting in twenty minutes, i.e. 14:00! Until 05:00 tomorrow morning, when we go back to Stage 2 until 05:00 Monday morning.
So, I'll be without power:
Saturday 18:00 - 20:30
Sunday 02:00 - 04:30
Not too bad. Let's hope it doesn't get worse! Well, can't get worse than last weekend, right? Or am I tempting fate, now?
Oh, mippies' food was delivered today! Those four mips get more deliveries than I do! Well, I put it on the front seat, so I definitely don't forget about it ...
Back at home it is too hot to mow the lawn! There is a bit of wind, but it feels like desert wind - hot and dry! Not a cooling breeze at all. Well, I have three days to get it done ...
And then I realise another problem: I can't just spend the late afternoon in the garden midway into load shedding ... if I do that, what am I going to eat? Unless I want to eat cold viennas again, I had better have dinner ready before the power goes out!
Well, it is getting overcast, though it isn't cooling down. The plants need water - especially my tomatoes ... but if I water, I can't mow at all ... eish!
Okay, ten to five. I've compromised. I've mowed the two horror sections and the front part just past the driveway. It looks like it's going to rain, turning dark, as well! I've had a tough struggle to get the internet going ... and now I have to turn it off again! Sigh ... well, soon, anyway ...
Okay, I've showered, now I'm frying my dinner ... and then I'll go back outside. Just to sit and enjoy my garden!
