Six hundred days in lock-down! Going up and down the levels at whatever whim - like a game of snakes and ladders, with greased rungs! I'm staring to loose track of dates ... so I've decided to open each post with the actual date. Yes, I know that the 'published' date shows at the top of each post ... but it doesn't show the day of the week; and sometimes, as you know, I can't publish on the exact date. Yes, I also know that I can 'set' the publication date, so that, if I publish on a Monday, it shows 'published the day before' ... but that's putting on slippers. I wish to carpet the world! Ha Ha
Right now, I don't even know what Level we're in. I'm guessing 'adjusted Level 1', since booze is not restricted ... but who can tell, anymore? And nobody questions the continued extension of the 'State of Disaster' anymore ...
Enough politics. It's all depressing. I don't even want to talk about the treatment of former State President FW de Klerk, who passed away last week. Yes, he was the last apartheid president - but he GAVE US democracy! Against his party's orders! And if they give a terrorist, as in Nelson Mandela (Yes, I get it, Mandela changed during the 27 years in prison. He turned from advocating violence to advocating peace. But he did not just advocate violence, he actively encouraged and participated!), a state funeral - FW de Klerk, who practically handed this country to the people - has earned it ten times over!
Well, my fruit juice has arrived! That, at least, is good news!
Another strike coming our way ... and load shedding is rearing its dark head once again - though only 'possible' at this stage ...
Back at home, I carried in the juice - I've barely managed to fit it all into the fridge - then did the other chores, and - while watering - I started weeding around the driveway. From the Marigold bed towards the veranda ...
I'm going to have to turn off the PC, just in case they start load shedding during the night - and we're due at 04:00 tomorrow morning. Oh, and boil the kettle tonight, just in case. Warm coffee is better than cold coffee ...
