Fortunately, the power came back an hour later ... What a mess, though, eh?
Anyway, I cleaned the kitchen. Hopefully, I'll have power for long enough now, so I can bake bread and muffins! Lunch for this week!
As I was busy with the ingredients for the bread dough? The power went off again! A few minutes later, it came back, though. Bread dough is now on the go ...
I've had to move Mewthos off my chair three times, so far! For some reason he's decided the best place to snooze is on my chair. Today. Funniest thing, when I rolled him off the cushion, onto the bed last time, he just lay there, as he landed: tummy in the air! He's already received lots of brushies today ... Mini is snoozing on the bed, as usual, and the other girls are atop my bookshelf in the lounge.
And there goes the power again! Off!
For a couple of hours, this time - and my bread dough was I-don't-know-how-far-along in the machine. I took a chance, let it rise, kneaded it some more, then formed my rolls around the Boerewors I had taken out of the freezer - since I forgot to get sausage for my rolls this week. I just left it to rise, while I hoped the power would come back.
It was after five! Rolls are now baking in the oven. I'm not making muffins - who knows how long we'll have power this time! Better to have at least bread rolls baked, than sit on two heaps of dough ... to throw out! I've lost enough already! I've had to throw a way quite a few items from the fridge. Not happy.
At least I managed to water the garden - it was drooping sadly after yesterdays heat, without any watering! Now, the only electrical necessity is to fry my dinner! Tonight, that is. Tomorrow morning I want coffee! I do NOT want to be deprived of my morning caffeine fix!
The news today are a joke! Rather: an absolute circus! I'm sorry I messed up the registration process - I'm eligible to vote in PE. Latest news claim that only 14% of all eligible voters turned up today!
And we're not the only one's with electricity woes, today. I smell sabotage. Organised ... which is frightening!
Coincidentally, hornets are out en masse, looking for places to build nests! I caught one trying to build a nest in the shelf, I've placed in the kitchen for Mewthos as a step to the food counter! I found Mewthos sticking his head in the shelf, investigating the buzzing coming from there! That's all I need! Mewthos with a Hornet sting on his nose!
Anyway, the sausage rolls look okay. That's something, anyway. Oh, and just before the power went out for the second time today, I managed to order chocolates! The yummy ones! After the weekend I've had, I figured I deserve the best! And you know what? They ARE better than any other chocolates I've eaten - well, maybe Belgian Chocolate beats them, but not Lindt, nor Roche, nor any of the other expensive brands!
Well, everybody is inside and fed - myself included. Mewthos is on my chair. Again. This time I'll leave him be ...
