Lock-down Day 591

With the ceiling fan going, I slept quite well - I woke briefly, when it went off at 02:00, but just turned over again.

Up relatively early, and ready to get busy. No load shedding scheduled today - next outage will be at 02:00 again. I've put two blankets and yesterday's clothes in the machine - that doggie muddied my nice, new shorts when she jumped up at me. I still have another thick blanket to wash, the rug, and then towels.

I've swept the entire house, tied up the maize - which had leaned over, after yesterday evening's wind - first load on the line, second load in the machine, Mewthos brushed ...

Janey and Ziva just came for brushies. Now I had better clean the kitchen ...

Started cleaning the kitchen, got into an interesting discussion via WhatsApp with a neighbour, Mini came for brushies, Mewthos followed for another session ... 

It's past noon, in the kitchen, I just need to wash the floors. The weather seems to be turning again, clouds are moving in ... I better hang the rug inside.

Right now, I'm going through the seeds in the fridge. Cleaning some, planting others. But now, I'm first frying myself something to eat! With the power out from three to nine at night yesterday, I didn't get a chance to cook!

Oh, golly! I just realised that I've planted all those apple seeds the wrong way round! Ha Ha Ha! I had better make a plan to save them ...

Done! A few lost their heads in the process, but most of them should be fine. Next, I'm now planting Golden Delicious. I'm planting them all four-per-bottle - there are just way too many, I don't have the patience to make a solo bottle for each one!

I probably should have raked the branch bits off the lawn and mowed the portion I didn't get to on Friday ... well ... I didn't!

Well, it's five and I DID pack grape seeds, cherry seeds and pear seeds in the fridge! Progress has been made - just not the kind, that one would say SHOULD have been made. I also haven't washed the kitchen floor, yet ... well, too late now. Tomorrow is another day.

Oh crap! Load shedding will continue throughout the week ... until Saturday 05:00! Sigh ...

I tidied up a bit outside, just picked up some of my things, like the tunnel, moved some plants to safety, etc. Then I sat on the veranda, enjoying the cool wind - it's overcast again - and planning what I would like to do tomorrow. With load shedding from 10:00 - 12:30, I guess I'll have those two hours to work in the garden - after which I'll need to start the bread dough.

But all that is tomorrow ... for now, I'm off to bed ...
