I woke up earlier still, so clearly I’m getting back
on track. Still somewhat listless, not sure why. It’s quite a hot, sunny day
today, mippies are out – and in to cool down, then off outside again.
I’ve baked up a bread and some muffins at the same
time – turns out I stupidly bought chocolate discs instead of chips, so I
crushed them as much as possible before adding them to the dough.
I saw Rose in the garden and came down for a chat –
Mewly was being a real Mewsance, rolling under my feet (I’m afraid I stepped on
his paws by accident) and over my feet when I stand still. It’s too hot
outside, though, so I just pick some seeds and come back upstairs.
Someone caught a gecko and brought it upstairs, it’s
now hiding under my drill-case with Lady Jane in vigil – the instant it comes
out she’ll pounce!
Did a load of laundry, packed a couple more boxes.
Pantry is looking quite bare now, but the kitchen still shows the least sign of
the impending move.
I also started clearing the table with the hope that I’ll
be able to do something creative inbetween this chaos, just to keep my spirits
up – as much as that is possible.
