Yeah, I got side-tracked and went to bed a bit later
than planned. Woke up early enough, though without the energy to get up.
Mewthos came mew-mew-mewling like a siren into the bedroom, then curled up by
my legs! What a goofball!
I got up just in time to give our gardener his breakfast
– he arrived early. Bit of an issue with the game: New Adventure starts
Thursday and nobody’s taking responsibility … I can’t, it just takes too much
time. But I ended up having to write a lot of ‘preparation’ mails. The problem
is that too many people assume that games are a mindless activity – they just
don’t think! When they apply that only to their own city – only they loose, but
when it’s about a fellowship activity? Everybody looses! That’s where
leadership comes in … Well, I’ve done what I can. I can not do everything,
especially not now! I’ll pick up the pieces and see what I can do – AFTER the
move!
I’ve had some cereal for breakfast and now it’s time to
pack some more boxes. A fifth of the time is past, so I should make sure that a
fifth of the packing is done, as well.
For some reason my kitchen window is buzzing with
flies! So I sprayed some Doom – not something I like doing, but I can’t have
them in the kitchen. There’s nothing there that should attract flies, so I don’t
know what the problem is. I cleaned out the dead flies, washed every drop of
poison of the window and the sill, and then threw away the cloth I used. Can’t
have mippies get to any of it – they are so curious!
I’m feeling rather awful now, in quite a lot of pain.
Cramps. I fear it might be the milk – nothing wrong with IT, but for some
reason I seem to have off days when I can’t drink milk! Yup, it’s the milk!
Just took a sip and the cramps went off the charts! Why oh, Why? I love milk! I
do not, however, love the agony I’m now going through. This is really awful! I
can sit still, be okay, then a wave of pain comes over me. The same if I lie
down. I’m taking my tissue salts, but this is one pain they seem unable to
relieve. My body, meanwhile, is draining all energy to dull the pain.
Two hours later the pain is finally gone and I’m as
weak as a new-born kitten. And as hungry, too! Not a good combination for
cooking, though. So I just cut up some of the potatoes, the rest of the meat,
whisked two eggs with some milk, and fried everything in lots of butter,
pouring the egg over the fried mix. It’s not Cordon Bleu, but quick and easy,
yet tasty.
Romeo was hanging around again – yeah, he knows it’s
munchie time! So I brushed him a bit then let him roll in catnip on the mat
outside. I gave him another of those chicken-in-gravy sachets none of mine
really eat, called mine in, and shut him out. He’s out there, crying, now …
this is NOT easy. Poor darling Romeo – I so wish I could help him!
At least I was able to pack a few boxes before I got
those cramps! Now I am so tired, I think I’ll sleep without too much tossing
and turning!
