Night out

I was dead tired last night, so I went through to my bedroom rather earlier than usual. While I read my book, the Mip Mips cavorted around like the excited and happy kittens that they are. It is so lovely coming into my bedroom and every cat and kitten crawls out and comes to say ‘Hello! So happy to see you!’ I don’t remember when last I was welcomed home like that – if ever.

I slept quite well, Ziva woke me for her morning run – let her out, back to bed. Mewthos came to investigate my nose some time later and we had a cuddle to the sound of his purr. I got up a bit later than planned – then had a slow, leisurely coffee while I waited for Ziva to hopefully come back; which she did just in time for me to leave.

Tonight I’m invited to a birthday party – I wonder how the cats will like being left alone all night after having been left alone all day. At least I don’t have to work tomorrow, so I can sleep as late as my roommates will let me.
