New toy for the Mip Mips

On my way to the party, I picked some flowers for the birthday boy, a mix of all colours. The food at the Cubata was, again, absolutely delicious!

I had some trouble falling asleep, I’m so over-tired I can’t go to sleep easily anymore. The entire cat family was sleeping peacefully on my bed, Ziva almost in my arms, Mip Mips by my feet – and I can’t sleep. Well, I nearly finished my book, and of course, eventually fell asleep.

Ziva woke me early and I let her out, then went back to sleep. It was past nine when I woke up again. What woke me, you ask? Well, Miss Quizzy Lizzy has discovered a new game: I sleep in a strap-top in summer. And Lizzy found out that those lovely elastic straps go ‘snap’ when you pull them! Imagine having a bra-strap snapped repeatedly – it’s like that! Good morning, human! Well, I discouraged her from continuing the game and tried to go back to sleep. Only … well, you see there are four kittens. And Mewthos, for one, watched Lizzy play her entertaining game. So after she was discouraged, he gave it a try!

Time to get up, I suppose. Shadow was outside the door, so I let her in – ended up with Mip Mips running wild around my flat. I found Ziva under her Spekboom and called her home. She’s now voicing her desire for attention – after I don’t know how much time petting, playing, stroking her. Sandbox is cleaned and outside to dry – though it’s overcast, not much chance it’ll dry. It’s also extremely windy … sigh.

Managed to get to Makro – found a wonderful special offer: 1 Item = R17, get 2 for R35! What a bargain, eh? Do people really fall for that?

I stopped at an audio shop to ask about repairing or replacing my radio. They took it out to check it and did some investigating – maybe that helped, but the CD still doesn’t come out. So I enquired about replacement – not too expensive. Let’s see.

At the vet I saw a cool new cat toy – it’s a glove with a toy dangling off each finger! Now I’m the Mip Mip Meister! Muhaa haa haa!

Miss Quiz is quite enjoying this new toy. She goes after only the pink dangling fluff balls and when she’s got one, she growls quite ferociously! All the Mip Mips enjoy playing together with it – but Lizzy? She’s almost obsessed with the fluffy pink feathers!

Remember I mentioned those two photos – where Rose took one, just as the flash went off on my camera for a photo? Well, I have permission to post it. Doesn’t it look cool?

Ziva getting the Spa-treatment from Shadow

Earlier on Lizzy climbed into a bucket in my kitchen – unfortunately, by the time I got the camera she had climbed back out. But then, in the evening, she went and climbed back in – this time I managed to take some photos.

Now I’m just waiting for Ziva to come back home, then I can take a bath … and there she is! Dinner, bath, book, sleep.
