Phew! I made it! Only just, though! Okay, when I started the car last night, the petrol showed 1/8th tank - which SHOULD be enough to take me home and back to work. I decided to take the chance ... 

Not 2 km down the road, the needle dropped and the warning light came on ... and I'm stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, as the traffic lights are off: load shedding! I free-wheeled every down hill, and kept my foot of the gas pedal as much as I could. Along Soutpan, the warning light went off ... the last few 100 m it came back on! I was really worried about making it to work this morning!

But: I made it! I hit some bumper-to-bumper traffic on Soutpan road, as there'd been an accident and everyone was rubber necking - but after that: free roads all the way! The needle is touching the red, but there still seems to be some room to play. Well, obviously, tonight I WILL fill up!

At home, I managed to get dinner heated before the power went off - and I managed to get all my chores done, as well. 

I spent the outage watching a special on the Golden Girls on YouTube. Mippies crowding around me, me brushing Ziva and Mini ...

When the lights came on, I turned on the PC, watched a few episodes of Golden Girls, then went to sleep.

This morning - relatively early morning. I turned on the percolator ... when it was finished, I saw that I had forgotten to add coffee! I had a fresh pot of hot, filtered water! Ha Ha Ha! I've never done that before!

At work, I put together a new spreadsheet ... 20 lines, took the entire day! Why? Well, for each line I need to recalculate ... which is taking longer and longer every day! I finished three or four chapters in my current book ... 

At home, chores, dinner, bath ... mippies!
