Relatively early morning, even though I watched Golden Girls till late ...
Morning pick-up cuddles with Mewthos! He's heavy, but it is such a joy to hold him tight, hear him purr up a storm ...
At work ... I think I'll carry on sorting out my store today. No use starting any new project (aka new Spreadsheet), on a Friday.
I quickly went to get groceries - they had butter on special! I bought six! That's 3kg! This time they had the September issue of the the Gardener, so I took one. Still no cigarettes, though ... Week 5, or is it week 6 already?
On the way home, I stopped at the butchery. I got another braai pack (braai = barbeque), a kilo sausages and a kilo pork mince. Beef is still under the cloud of foot- and mouth-disease. I still have the shin I bought last week.
Back at home, I carried on with the grassy patch. As I was working, I realised that, what I'm pulling out there, looks exactly like the stuff they promote in the gardening magazines and sites as 'indigenous and water-wise'. Which got me wondering, if I advertise 'free: indigenous and water-wise plants' how many freeloaders would come and dig them out for me?
Well, I made progress again. I reached the first of my still-alive roses! That ground is really good soil, and now that I'm turning it - it really would be a shame not to do something with it! Yeah, okay, so the roots of that rubbish I'm pulling out are still there - deep down ... still ...
Anyway, I bathed, shared my dinner and just didn't feel like sitting at the PC last night, so I'm writing this morning.
