Lock-down Day 271

Very bad night, I'm afraid. I woke up again and again, because I was too hot, because I was too cold, because I woke up again and again. I woke quite early, but with quite a headache, so I just turned over.

Around eight, I let mippies out. Ziva and Mewthos went out - I didn't see Janey, but I think she went out as well. Mini stayed in bed. By my side. As always. I went back to bed. By ten I still wasn't feeling better, so I got up, made myself coffee, ate some cheese and took another migraine cocktail.

By eleven, the headache was gone, but I'm still feeling a bit down. It's very, very humid today and that's really uncomfortable. I'm tempted to take a shower ...

It's overcast again ... rain predicted this afternoon. I'm not sure what I should do. One thing I do know, though: I'll do what I feel like. No pressure of 'must' for me, today.

I've put up the gazebo and placed it over the bed next to the grill, where I want to place the succulents currently in the pots on the veranda.

Mission accomplished. The cabbage plant is in the bed! I've also placed the small spekboom, of the umbrella or mushroom shape variety, as well as a few other succulents. I also wanted to place some desert roses, but couldn't find any? I know that I took several out of the bed - my guess is that, in the pots, they've grown tall ... so they don't look the way I remember. Silly, I know, but so what?

After that, I carried on working in that bed - all progress now being a bonus for today! The final part, though, is going to be the toughest. Lots of deep-rooted creepers, and a lot of decorative rocks ... which I'm going to have to move. Now it's half six again ... mowing time. I didn't overwork myself today, so I have enough energy left. Only ... 

I overcame my reluctance and took out the mower. The back lawn looked like it could do with a re-mow, so that's where I started. I filled three loads on that small patch alone! Sigh, better re-mow the front as well ... strangely enough, out front, I could hardly tell the difference between mowed and not yet mowed!

As I re-mowed everything, my target for re-gaining lawn was modest. I wanted to just pass the center bed. Mission accomplished. Then I went a bit further. Nice, eh? I've achieved quite a bit today - especially considering the rocky start of my day! I was surprised to see 2 1/2 mm of rainfall, though. Must have rained during the night?

Still not sure about the weather. It's cloudy, overcast, sunny, cloudy ... well, no worries. I should spend some time in the kitchen tomorrow, anyway.

Internet is acting up again - can't log into or open any other page. That's a tad frustrating.

Well, I'm feeling a lot better tonight than I did yesterday. I've done the kind of gardening I enjoy: thoroughly cleaning an area! I hoped to clean about half and I managed to clean about 2/3 - though that's less than half the work (the last third is really bad, lots of deep-rooted creepers) and I'm looking forward to that! Lets hope no headache tomorrow!
