I woke up with a headache. And no Mewthos cuddling. Some mip throwing up nearby. Must be Monday, eh?
I had been thinking how I'm going to manage this morning, with the gate and the remote situation and decided I'd go to the office, collect the spare key, drive back home and lock the gate. Then hand the spare key back - and somehow get a battery sometime today. And then the guard suggested that I should just keep the spare key and give him my key! They'll get another battery! Now, why didn't I think of that? I've also wanted to sort that bundle, and I particularly want the spare key to the gate in my passage. I want that to have some permanent place in my bedroom.
I also took the refuse out, while I was at it. The gate works beautifully!
On the way to work, I've also come to the conclusion that attempting to design a system ... is futile. I'll just simplify my own part of the process ... no further comment.
I just asked, and apparently my car was ready on Friday already, just after half three. So, today, after work, our driver will drop me off at the workshop to collect my car. It's just a minor detour on the way home - albeit through major traffic. But I'll be glad to get my car back!
The headache is still going strong ... I'm not happy about that. Naturally.
Got my car back! All is normal again!
Back at home, it was a pleasure to simply press a button and viola! The gate opens! Drive through, press the button again and: viola! The gate closes! No more getting out, bending over, unlocking the motor, pushing the gate open, climbing back into the car, etc. etc.
Well, I fiddled the keys apart, filled my water bottle, packed lunch, cleaned the litter boxes, re-lined the waste bins, etc. etc. There was quite a bit to do, and it was too late to start mowing, by the time I finished. Not that I felt up to it, anyway! I just pottered about in the bed out back, for a bit. It didn't take long for Mewthos to demand munchies! Called all the girls, everyone is in, fed and mipping for attention!
