Late and lazy morning. Another message that my Whiskas & Gazebo will arrive today - also a message that the Iams won't arrive. No stock. I'll try to get them to deliver in January ...
Nobody at work seems to be in work mood - no wonder! It's been a rough year! Our HR Lady is feeling ill, so she's working from home ...
Oh, you want to know what our president said last night? Well, he says we've been naughty, so now we're being reigned in. Oh, and police will increase their enforcement. Beaches are closed, parties forbidden, curfew tightened ... oh, and the entire 'cabinet' will enjoy 'stand-by' pay throughout the entire holiday!
In other news, Eishkom, our electricity supplier, has announced a R83 million profit ... but that's not enough to pay off their debts AND keep supplying electricity, let alone repairing all the break-downs caused by years of no maintenance. So they will increase their prices, yet again! Sigh ...
Back to my tiny little world. Little bit of work ... then my Gazebo arrives! Oh, gosh! Had to push the back seat down to fit that in the car ... hmmm ... I'm gonna have one heck of a time offloading that tonight! Let alone putting it up? Well, I'll see tonight ...
The weather seems to be clearing up, I should be able to continue mowing ... if I find some energy somewhere? It's been a dull day at work, and I just wanna go home ...
Home! Home, at last! Still no energy, though. Smeagol now waits for me and calls for me to fill his bowl, as soon as I'm home. I fill it, let him eat - with my mippies watching in disbelief, then fill it some more until he's had enough. He won't let me near him - but today he "thanked" me, by dropping a load in my driveway! On hard ground, so he couldn't bury it, just heaped dirt around and over. Nice little pile. Sigh ...
I had to wait for Smeagol to finish eating, before I could go out - don't want to frighten him off. By the time he had finished eating, I had no energy for mowing. I pulled a couple of weeds out the back, and then went inside. I didn't have long to wait for mippies to want their treat. Then I had a bath and now I'm watching 'The White Queen'. It's a mini series about the War of the Roses. English history. An interest of mine. And I've always had trouble sorting through the War of the Roses.
