Still pregnant! The cat, silly - not me!

At least I got more sleep than last night! I’ve been reading up on cat pregnancies and increased anxiety and seeking reassurance is perfectly normal when the birth is imminent. I worry a bit because sometimes her tummy feels rather warm, like the kittens are running a fever – but she feels fine, so I guess it’s alright. This morning she followed me out when I went to work, but it’s Friday, so I’ll be home early. And I’ve no plans to go anywhere this weekend, so I just hope she’ll give birth sometime this weekend!

I had a good laugh at her again last night, I thought I was being clever standing in the passage facing both bedroom doors. She’s disappeared again, and I thought this way I’d finally see where she crawls out from. Yeah. Guess what? I called, and she came from behind me! Not out of either bedroom! I have no clue where she had hidden this time, she wasn’t on the box nor on her chair. But then again, last night she developed a new habit of lying by my feet under the desk. Maybe jumping up is getting too much for her?

At work I finally, finally finished that deadline task! There are still some gaps – data not yet available; but that’s not my responsibility. I’ll help, but I’m not having that dumped on me. No way! I started catching up with the incredible backlog that’s accumulated – you wouldn’t think how much can pile up in such a short time!

Back home, no kittens, yet. Turns out Silver is extremely fond of Salmon! I opened the Salmon cat food tin today and it’s already half gone. Better get two more tomorrow. I think it’s because it has more gravy. Could be the brand. She’s sleeping happily on the chair now … until I go to sleep, I suppose! Last night she actually managed to uncover me! She’d snuggle close to me on the cover, and I must have moved in my sleep. When I woke up I had a corner of the duvet, she was lying on top of it next to me and the whole rest of the duvet was lying behind her!

I do hope for sleep! And that she gives birth soon! I’m getting too old for this!
