I couldn't get to sleep - if this is early spring, I do NOT want to be around in summer! We're topping 36 Celsius already! I need the ceiling fan to cool me down ...when the power came on, I just lay - stripped to my shorts - flat on my back, letting the breeze cool me down!

This morning, I packed all the fried meat into the fridge, made coffee, turned on the geyser ... milk is already sour! Sigh ... this power on / off / on / off is not good! At least, apart from the fridge and washing machine, I have everything permanently unplugged. Only plug it in, when I use it.

Only ... those two are my most expensive appliances ...

I was listening to an energy expert comment about the 'new board at Eskom' and ... he really, really scared the crap out of me! He suggested that each board member should have a responsibility! Like, that's some sort of novel idea! Like that has to be spelled out!?! I mean, WTF else is their function? If they have no function ... you can put a dog in charge, at least he'll bark when a stranger enters!

My delivery should arrive today! Nice! I can add more growing seedlings to the greenhouse! It's so dry, now, though - I had to water everything again last night! the soil in the pots was bone-dry, even though I watered Monday night!

Urgh! Heatwave to persist until Friday! Ditto load shedding. Nice combination, eh?

Delivery is here! I doubt I'll be able to put it to use before the weekend, though. Load shedding from six to eight every night - so I have to dash into the shower when I get home. Well ... we'll see ...

Got a call from an old friend today - lovely surprise!

Well, I've had another hectic day at work. Almost time to go ... with power off from six to eight, and again from two to four during the night, I don't think I'll even bother to turn on the PC tonight ... so, I'm going to publish now.
