I woke up quite early, but dawdled a bit over coffee. I notice that the chest freezer is ice cold on the outside, as well - surely that's not right? I'm thinking of getting a technician to have a look at it ...
Traffic was a nightmare, as you can imagine. I ended up standing at a green robot, unable to cross for about 4 or 5 cycles!
Aaaand load shedding extended over the weekend. Albeit at lower stages. Trying to work out our schedule now, with this Snakes-and-ladders sliding through the stages schedule.
Okay, here we go:
Friday: 00:00 - 02:30 & 16:00 - 18:30
Saturday: 06:00 - 08:30
Sunday: None
Well, that's at present. May change with either no, or too short notice ... like, power goes off unexpectedly, and you investigate only to find out we've escalate to a higher stage a short while ago ...
Quickly went to get groceries. I had planned to buy ice cream, but as it's going to be quite cold this weekend, plus I still have so many frozen fruits to make lovely milk shakes - which I can now keep frozen, after having made them ... well, I decided against it. They kept a carton of my cigarettes aside, especially for me! And the new Gardener magazine is out. I also bought more butter, as it was on special again - and I now have space to keep it. They only had 2kg, though, and the 4th block looked dodgy, so I left it.
I've just paid rent and topped up my credit card ... now I'm broke. Again! Well, not totally, but yeah ... salary payment can't come soon enough, ha ha! Fortunately, I have everything I need.
Back at home - we had another 26 mm rainfall! Gave me a chance to pull out some of the tall weeds behind the dog hut. Finally!
Anyway, mippies are now demanding my attention ...
