The power never came on. I dare not open either freezer to see the damage ...
I still had coffee in my flask, albeit cold by now.
Traffic was awful.
Two o'clock and our power is still off, at home! The storm caused myriad problems, teams are out replacing fuses and cutting trees everywhere ...
Got my smartphone connected to the work WiFi! Should have done that ages ago, but ... yeah ... never expected to sit with my phone at work as much as I do now!
Ten to four. Our power is still off - and it's now pouring cats and dogs here at work! Since my house was flooded, I can not enjoy rain anymore - I always worry about it coming into my house again! Always!
And now a pole fell over ... and hoards of people are reporting power failures ... that pushes us down the list of priorities ... Sigh ... I don't see us getting power today. Sigh ...
Well ... don't even know what I can do to keep myself busy with tonight ... nor what I'll make myself to eat. I'll have to haul out the gas bottle ... Sigh ...
