This load shedding shit is really getting to me. It's been a full month, bouncing around the stages. Last night, I was so irritable, poor mippies stopped coming near me. Well, not completely, of course ... they don't give up.
At present Stage 3 until 05:00 Saturday morning. Nobody knows what next.
I watched a documentary on the Romanov's. I got as far as Catherine the Great. Yeah, don't ask where this sudden interest in royalty comes from. Mostly, to dispel the myths in my head.
Twenty to one - first chance for a breather! I'm knackered!
Some good news, at last: Load shedding ends 05:00 Saturday morning! No more load shedding ... until the next breakdown ...
On the way home, I stop to buy meat. Not much variety, so I get one braai pack and sausages.
Back at home, sprinklers are on the go! Nowhere for me to garden ...
First thing I did, even before unpacking the car - I showered! Sheez, the heat is unpleasant!
Then I got busy with indoor chores - power went off! While I was still trying to report it, power came back on! Phew!
So did the sprinklers. I guess they would keep going until five ... so ... what shall I do?
I collected poppy seeds from the drying pods in the box on my desk, then cut more pods off the bushes in the garden.
I was right, sprinklers stopped at five. Now, if that's going to be a Friday routine - I'm going to have to come up with some way to make it work for me. Worst of all: I'm going to have to re-schedule mowing the lawn! It's very satisfying to get that horror job finished before starting the weekend ... so ... now what?
For dinner, I ate the hamburger patties. Power went off at six ... I watched another part of the current documentary ... went to bed early.
