Saturday - Load shedding again!

By six, mippies had waited long enough and insisted I let them out! Which I did. Then I went back to bed ... four hours sleep just weren't enough.

I finally got up around ten. Made coffee. Found Smeagol roaming around mippies' room, followed him out ... poor sod was looking for water! I filled a bowl for him - I'm afraid the water dispenser I put out for him, was dry. I should have re-filled that yesterday!

The nice thing about this episode, though, is simply that - even with Smeagol coming all the way into mippies' room - no fighting!

Well, as you can imagine, I'm having a little trouble getting started.

Just past one, laundry is on the line and the kitchen is clean. I've watered my tomatoes - took a photo and offered any neighbour to come and get some plants, as I need to thin out the bed. Watering the peach tree now - as suggested by one of my neighbours last night.

Half past one and: Load shedding starts again at two! Until further notice! We're off 22:00 - 00:30 tonight and 06:00 - 08:30 tomorrow morning! At least that doesn't interfere too much with my day - I just have to get up early, if I want hot coffee! Sigh ...

Well, I've cleaned the floor where I want to put the freezer, and started cleaning the freezer. Turns out, it isn't actually grey, but white. Unfortunately, there is also rust. Inside. I should, ideally, fix that, before putting it to use. I don't see that happening, though.

For now, I'll carry on cleaning it tomorrow - I want to be sure it doesn't start smelling, when I leave it closed for a night.

I think the first thing I will try, is whether I can get labels off bottles.

Internet is a big problem, today. It's the router. It simply will NOT stay on! I turn it on, have internet for a minute or two ... then it turns itself off. I guess I'll have to go to the store to find an alternative ... spending money. Again. On something I shouldn't need to buy again.
