Yikes! I woke up late – again. This is seriously going
on my nerves, now. Mips want attention while I’m trying to have my coffee and
get ready for work. I have to ‘trick’ distract them with a sachet to be allowed
to leave. Again.
Work is getting busy now, we’re clearing the site. I’m
busy getting quotes and arranging all the paperwork that goes with it … which
isn’t really much, but having to follow up each individual five times before
getting a result – THAT takes time! Why is it so difficult to get anything
done? I’m supposedly dealing with professional businesses – but it feels more
like I’m working in a kindergarten! Very frustrating. So I’ve decided to come
in on Monday next week, so I can hopefully process the results of tomorrows
‘When can I get’s and ‘I’m still waiting for’s.
Back at home, I was a bit worried when Ziva didn’t
greet me at the garage. Romeo, however, was waiting on Rose’s lawn for me – or
rather for the door to his food to open. The Mips came outside quite happily,
but didn’t play or explore as much as they normally do. And went upstairs after
an unusually short time. Upstairs, lots of tummy rubs and cuddles were needed.
Ziva came in quite early as well and I gave them all sachet after sachet – they
seemed to enjoy them so much! Then I gave Ziva and Mewthos their dose of
catnip, and Ziva retreated to the bedroom while the Mips lay about napping …
for a bit.
Lady Jane joined me in the shower – again! I don’t
know why, but she seems to like it. She even tries to help me dry off, by
picking up my towel with her teeth – a bit that’s on the floor while I’m drying
my legs.
I steamed myself potatoes for dinner – with butter and
salt! Love that! When I finished eating, the Mips started to get quite annoying
– so much so, that I shut the whole lot of them in the bedroom, so I can finish
writing my blog in peace! They get plenty of attention while I go about my
business in the evenings – I’ll stop and give Mewthos a belly rub, or pick up
Lady Jane who likes to stand on my shoulders. Mewthos is developing the same
preference as Ziva: he prefers to be on the floor with me bending to rub his
tummy. It would be so much easier, if he could come onto the chair next to
mine. He does go to nap there quite often, but this floor business? Yikes, I’m
not getting any younger and that kind of continuous Yoga is not part of my
lifestyle!
I forgot to post the blog last night, so I did that
earlier. Now I’ll just post this, then spend some time with my felines again. I
just hope Lady Jane doesn’t decide to pick up my glasses again – it was funny,
but worrying. She just picked them up carefully in her mouth and put them on
the bed next to me.
