I woke up quite early – from another strange, though
less upsetting, dream. I stayed in bed mulling it over for a bit, but my Mips
were eager to activate. Ziva settling herself on my bladder finally urged me to
get up. I put the dry food out again (since the wet bowls were nicely empty)
and they all fell onto them, as if they were starving!
I let Ziva out – and Mewthos became extremely
exasperating! Hugs, cuddles, play – none appeased him. He continues to chew my
USB stick (which he knows I can’t allow) and crying. Mew mew mewly cry baby!
Very annoying! I put out a jelly treat for the Mips so I could get out to get
the weekly groceries.
I got everything at one shop, my bladder would not let
me stop a second time anywhere but at home. And once home, getting away again,
is nearly impossible. I managed to forget a few things – but I’ll be able to do
without them.
I’ve got a lot of chores to do, but I’m just not in
the mood. The Mippies are happy to go out – but come back for regular cuddling.
Sigh. Sweet, but disruptive. I better get started on my chores.
Sigh, that took longer than planned – courtesy of
Mippies taking advantage of any breaks turning them into extended cuddle
sessions. And finally Romeo showed up – he needs privacy to eat, as he’s quite
skittish. So now it’s three in the afternoon, and I haven’t decided what to do
with the rest of my day. My Mips want me to come into the garden with them.
Tempting, as the weather is quite pleasant. But I still have to empty the
litter box, re-fill it and collect the rubbish to take downstairs.
Crap. Sand box re-filled, rubbish downstairs – Mippies
trying to visit The Terror + doggies! I’ve picked Mewthos off the wall twice!
That’s right – twice! And he still won’t listen. So I walked away. There’s
nothing else I can do. When I looked out the window just now, they were both
innocently stretched on Rose’s lawn looking up at me with their big eyes!
Ah! Seems they continued their attempts when I wasn’t
looking. Mewthos just inside came at top speed with his tail all bushy! I
looked outside and saw Ziva in the corner, looking agitated – and then I saw
Lady Jane crawling back under the wall from next-door to Rose’s! She also ran
at speed once she was clear of the wall – only, I think she ran into Rose’s
flat. After she calmed down a bit, she came upstairs. Now they are both sitting
at the window looking out into the garden with the friendly dogs!
Yep, Rose just confirmed, Lady Jane came speeding into
her flat! I was about to shut the Mips in for the night, when Rose called – I hadn’t
given her the pay for our gardener, yet, and he’s coming tomorrow. As I went
back upstairs, I see the Mips are trying another wall, to another neighbour.
Well, today's adventures will have to last them a week, as I’m working the next
four days.
Uh oh! Ziva just came strolling in. I’ve shut the door
– but it’s barely half six. She’s bound to want to go out again. And likely to
put up one heck of a performance to get her will.
Well, it’s an hour later and she hasn’t made a
nuisance of herself. She’s curled up on the chair next to me now, Lady Jane on
the box behind me and Mewthos on the other chair. I spent abouth half an hour
playing with the Mips, they still love rat-race but no longer exhaust themselves
as much as they used to.
Seven o’clock and Ziva is starting her ‘I want out.
Now!’ spiel. I just give her a sad look and say ‘No, my girl.’ She’s now in the
sandbox. I know she prefers to use the garden – but if I let her out now, I won’t
see her till late. And I don’t want to go to bed that late tonight. If I let
her out now, it’ll be close to ten before she comes back – and I do not want to
be up that late. Well, she’s now gone to the bedroom to sulk.
I’ve just sat around the rest of the day watching Star
Trek. I’ve finished re-watching The Next Generation – my favourite scene is
still the one, where Worf asks Deanna to be Alexander’s guardian, making her
like his Stepsister and she says “That would make my mother your stepmother”.
The change of expressions on Michael Dorn’s face are absolutely priceless!
Anyway, I’m watching Deep Space Nine, now. Last time around, I followed the
Chronology Project sequence – this time, I didn’t. Nor did I watch the TNG
movies. I’ve been kind of listless today, doing the chores took what little
energy I had. I felt like taking a nap most of today, so I’ll be glad to go to
sleep soon!
