I had a heck of a time getting mippies in last night ... I made the mistake of sitting outside, chatting with my tenant, for too long. Mewthos, Janey and Ziva came inside right away ... Lady Sybil, however, had disappeared with her family. I figured I would have to let her stay outside for a night ... but Mini was nowhere to be found! And, although I know she can survive, I won't be able to sleep without Mini safely inside!
I went looking. Calling. Walking. Calling. Walking. Calling. I checked everywhere inside. Got the torch, got the keys, went outside the garden ... nothing. I had been everywhere, checked everywhere I could ... no Mini. Nothing more I can do ... but I won't be able to sleep ... so I sat outside, hoping.
I'd managed to lure Sybil close with some food, grab her and carry her into the bedroom ... still no Mini!
I was just about to give up, came inside, ready to lock up when Mini came running at top speed from I know not where! Phew!
Until Lady Sybil is fully integrated, I will have to get them all inside early. Especially as it's getting dark so earlier every evening ...
This morning I managed to dash into the kitchen and brew a fresh pot of coffee before load shedding started! No such luck tomorrow morning - load shedding from 04:00 - 08:30. I'll have to brew a pot tonight. Sigh ...
Not much to do during load shedding ... cleaned the litter boxes, topped them up ... prepared the bread, so I could switch it on as soon as power comes on. It takes 3 hours and 40 minutes ... power came on at quarter past ... I'm just going to make it! With only 5 minutes to spare! Well, depending what time they switch us off, of course.
No internet, though. Until now ... and it's half past one. Load shedding again at two. I hope I can publish before it starts ...
I've sealed the frozen cat food, packed the mushrooms (which I still fried yesterday evening) into the freezer, chopped tomatoes and made paste, which is in the freezer.
