I stayed up till just past midnight, watching 'Supernatural', playing with Sybil - honestly, I'm going to have to check whether this girl actually has claws! - trying to get mippies to be nice to Sybil. Poor girl is living in fear, always scared of getting too close to any mip!
I had to go outside quite late last night, as my neighbour's cat was having a fight with Smeagol again. That's when I heard the music outside - new neighbours having a housewarming party, I suppose. I heard none of it inside, so that's good. Not that I'd mind - as long as it isn't a regular thing.
Load shedding from six to eight this morning. Internet worked, though, so I watched for most of the time. Half eight, I started getting ready for chores. Loaded the washing machine, took the fountain apart ...
Twenty to ten and the fountain is back in action, and I'm about to hang the laundry. Tenant is home today, he's working in the garden right now ...
I'm a bit pooped today. Feeling ... bleh. Again. This is getting on my nerves. I've taken a nap - all of forty minutes, which turned out to be enough. I've brought in the laundry, folded and packed it away. It's too hot outside ... I've had enough of the wardrobe for a while.
I've taken out a rump steak for dinner tonight. I don't feel like cooking today. And, as I said, it's too hot outside.
And I need to stop berating myself for taking a day off - as in, doing nothing productive for a whole day. Not that I really did nothing - laundry's done. And then I started capturing the weather data I've been writing down for the past two years. So, again: being productive. Though just a little bit.
Well, no load shedding till ten tonight. Wind picking up quite a bit around six - I decided to take a shower tonight, and I've changed what I'm watching. It's funny how what I watch often sets my mood ... Supernatural is a bit too dull and depressing. Not really funny, not really interesting, either.
I'm now watching Mrs Brown's Boys. That's at least funny! Only ... power went off about three or four times. Just for about a minute, each time. Fortunately it's come on again, every time, so far. It's the storm.
Thunder, lightning, heavy winds, and rain. Not much rain, but a millimeter or two ...I think I'd better publish now ... well, when the internet comes back on. I'm back to 'update failed' again ... Sigh ...
