LS 6 5 6 Saturday

Sigh, it's just gone past one, and I can finally write my blog! Not much time, though - I just hope I can close it without loosing what I've written!

Just after I published, Eskom announced their weekend schedule, dropping to Stage 5 during the day Saturday and Stage 4 on Sunday. So, only 2 hours off tomorrow morning, same as today. Phew!

I spent yesterday afternoon cleaning the driveway. Weeding, that is. Looks much better, naturally. Mini, Janey and Sybil joined me, in turns. Mini still chases Sybil - I eventually had to carry Sybil past the mips into the bedroom!

I had planned on frying the chicken hearts and liver last night, still - but once I had eaten, I just had no energy left. I just went to bed ...

I woke up relatively early to some humming noise in the room ... it took a while to figure out that it's the ceiling fan. It wasn't turning, though it was switched on. I pulled the cord, and it started turning. On the lowest setting, I guess, load shedding can be a problem.

I was too late to make coffee, but I still had enough coffee in the flask. It's empty now, though - so, tomorrow morning, I better get up early!

I had got everything ready, during load shedding, so when the power came on, I turned on the pressure cooker to cook the chicken legs and started frying the chicken hearts. Turns out that I underestimated just how much I've got here ... I tried my big bowl, then the bigger glass bowl ... but eventually I had to use the huge plastic bowl to fit everything! Plenty of liquid, too! I needed a big bowl to mix everything together - hearts, liver and chicken. All minced.

Sybil is staying indoors - her choice. She follows me everywhere, plays with dust bunnies and acorns and anything she can find. She even managed to get on top of the bookshelf!

Well, it took the whole morning, but I've processed the chicken, all of it. It's now in the freezer, with a clip-thing, I can vacuum seal when it's solid.

As I said, internet is not working well ... I've had 2 bars since ten, even when it showed 3 bars, I couldn't create a new post. Until just now. Load shedding again at two, and again tonight at ten, so ... I'm going to try to publish as soon as possible.

Aaand Stage 6 until further notice! So tomorrow, power off from six to ten in the morning! Giving me just 4 hours, less if the turn the power on late, to bake bread. This is not good.

On my phone, now. Just starting to really get depressed with this shite ...
