Before I turned off the internet, I thought I'd quickly check the news - and to my surprise, there was another address to the nation by our president! I caught just the last few minutes of it, which was enough to make me re-watch the entire announcement ... We are FINALLY out of Lock-Down! Although their 'timer' stated 729 days, it has been 739. I've been double-checking my numbering and found no 'skip'. I did the maths and it's 739. The president kept referring to 750 days ... I guess that pretty much sums up the state of education.
What this means? To me, personally, not much. But one important effect is, 'violating' any of those ridiculous regulations can no longer result in a criminal record! The State of Disaster has been lifted and Parliament is, once again, at the helm - in theory. Certain regulations remain in place for 30 days, when the amendment to the Health and Safety Act is promulgated.
On which we, the public, are currently invited to comment. Which I did.
I also got thinking about the Talking Tuesday - it's an open invitation. What if too many people show up? Indoor venues are still not allowed to operate above 50% capacity ...
Am I just looking for an excuse to back out? Yes! Apprehension is rising to the level of anxiety. I do NOT like to go to new places anymore. I don't like breaking my routine.
I have another excuse not to go: my juice delivery arrived! Poor excuse, though, since the two more hours won't make a big difference. It arrived around noon, in a refrigerated truck. I've put it in my cooler box - and today isn't very warm, anyway. So ... poor excuse.
Proof that I did go! Ha Ha! Came home around nine and just found this on the Ward's Facebook group - that's my head there in the center front. Purple scarf and ponytail.
I got home around nine, mippies were in distress and I didn't get time to write more, not even time to publish ...
