All the wrong phones, in all the wrong places

I slept much better, but still woke up a bit late - it'll take a bit to get back to my normal cycle. Mewthos was getting impatient and mewled in my ear - man, he has an annoying mewl!

When I checked the time, I realised my phone had only 2 bars power - so I put it on charge ... and forgot it there. So, now my work phone is at home and my home phone is at work!

I almost forgot that today is Thursday! I remembered to get groceries, though. I'm trying a different cut of meat: prime rib, instead of sirloin. It's cheaper. From what I gather, the reason is that a) it contains bones and b) has a lot of fat on it. Which should actually make it tastier. I'll wait and see how mippies react, ha ha! They're real connoisseurs!

Apparently we're in for a very cold weekend with plenty of rain.

I haven't given up on the cement experiments, yet. I've been thinking last night, what I can try this weekend. Basically, I'm looking for a kind of 'saucer' for the bottles I use to raise seedlings. Ideally, something that hides the actual bottle, is water resistant, and looks attractive. I have 4 different sizes: 1.5 liter, 500 ml, 300 ml and 100 ml. For starters, I'm just looking at something that can work. The attractive part, I can work on later.

With the last experiment being a complete disaster, I think I can forget the 'soak a cloth in wet cement and drape it over the bottle' method. At first, the cement wasn't liquid enough, the cloth didn't absorb enough cement.

I think, I want to try the other way around, next time. Instead of 'draping over', I want to try and push the bottle into the cement. Which means that I need some kind of container for the cement, a shaped container. With a flat bottom.

Hmmm, I'm thinking of creating an outer shape with the modelling clay. If I attempt to make it look like a tree trunk, that should be a simple shape, plus, any unevenness should appear to be part of the pattern.

Back at home, I carried in with the tough grass until it got too dark.

Back inside, the prime rib was delicious! Mewthos and Mini also approve - I had to eat quite fast to get a fair share!

Now I'm just going to relax ... cuddle mippies ... and think ...
